No, I'd much rather Amerkianistan minded their own damn business and left our lumber alone.

Fine. Stop exporting it or have your government stop subsidizing it. The quarrel has to do with your own government distorting the market and not with anything else. You want to sell lumber here? You think that because you can supply more it ought to be cheaper? Then fine. Do it straight up, don't get your government to feed your lumberjacks subsidies so you're lumber is guaranteed to undercut the actual market for lumber.

Stop having your government subsidize it. See where the real cost of your lumber is. If it's still cheaper, then it is. But this way, your government is gaming the system to make sure the market is in your favor.

That would entail me being part of Gov, which at this moment in time I am not. If your Government stopped buying our lumber we simply would not continue selling it to you, would we?

You guys don't know Jack!

I totally get the issue now, subsidies need to be addressed in trade tariff deals.
Trump is a businessman, the tariff is an appropriate response to state subsidy.

Cool, so Trump is not a cowering wussy like the last president who broke his neck to find new people to bow to. Sounds like he is fighting back looking for a better deal. A better deal.....hm.........where have I heard that before?

I think there will be a wall when the labor costs from Canada is less than min wage in the US. But the Canadians depending on source are better paid than the US worker. So no wall.

We are getting shafted by nafta, not sure what country you're from but nafta was a big shaft to normal citizens, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Nafta did a good job of devaluing our currency. We get to pay more for less . Not sure how you view nafta as good. Lot of mainstream people on ats lately
