Fresh off the Cleveland killing, we have yet another sad excuse for a human being commiting murder live on Facebook before taking his own life, only this time the victim is his 11 month year old daughter. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

Link

Why do you feel the need to take your daughter with you? And why broadcast it to everyone?

The harrowing footage from Thailand showed Wuttisan Wongtalay tying a rope to his daughter Natalie's neck before dropping the child, dressed in a bright pink dress, from the rooftop of a deserted building in the seaside town of Phuket.

Love is a crazy thing..

Wuttisan's suicide was not broadcast but his lifeless body was found beside his daughter, said Jullaus Suvannin, the police officer in charge of the case.

"He was having paranoia about his wife leaving him and not loving him," Jullaus told Reuters.

Domestic issues seem to be a common theme

Wuttisan's wife, Jiranuch Triratana, told Reuters she had lived with him for over a year. At first the relationship had gone well, she said, but then he grew violent and sometimes hit her five-year-old son from a previous husband.

She feared that something was wrong on Tuesday when she found he had left home with Natalie, whose nickname was Beta. She set out to look for them.

"I was afraid he would hurt our daughter even though he loved her," she told Reuters by phone from the funeral.

Losing your child is one thing, but losing them in this fashion is whole different dynamic. A bunch of relatives and friends all witnessed it live and I can only imagine the trauma most of them will suffer for the rest of their lives. What was the message that this young man was trying to send? Don't mess with him? The only message that was left behind is how much of a coward he was. RIP to the little girl..

This is the reason why I believe humans have a light and dark side. It would be very naive to say humans are all about love and light like some people say.

The law of balance will always exist, Yin and Yang.

I think we are in a very narcissistic and entitled era and social media is a huge part of the reason. Everyone wants to be heard and understood, there is no other reason to broadcast something like this, just like the Cleveland murder.

This is heartbreaking.

Facebook needs to do some soul searching and stop giving whackjobs a soapbox to broadcast it to the world.

Modern civilization is anything but civilized anymore.

Social media brings out the worst in narcissist. I'm proud to say I never signed up for a Facebook account. I just get sick of all these people taking selfies in mirrors posing like models and then the nut jobs who want to broadcast their suicides to the world.

If I could disconnect I probably would...

I hear you, I deactivated my Facebook about 7 years ago. This site is the only social network I use. I also use Instagram, but only for art purposes.

Got really tiring looking into everyone's artificially perfect lives.

This is why FACEBOOK LIVE is a bad idea. The ability to stream ANYTHING live invites people to commit aweful crimes to gain notoriety for all the wrong reasons.

If F**kerberg had any ethics he'd have cancelled the "Live" feature after the first murder/suicide.

Obviously, he doesn't.

I don't see what is the difference in a live crime, vs the recorded ones people upload and give millions of views to everyday?

I mean, most crimes on video are recorded and uploaded after the fact. Live feature can actually give authorities the opportunity to discern identifying features of the location and possibly get leads to try and stop it in time. Obviously that did not apply here, but it could be possible. Its not like the killers would not have done what they did because it was not live.

Social media brings out the worst in narcissist

It's only 70 years ago we (humans) were gassing Jewish folk, Gypsies and the disabled

20 years prior to that we were gassing soldiers in France and killing each other because an archduke was assassinated

the duration of hundreds of years prior to that we were enslaving an entire race and stealing their lands, whilst sailing the oceans and killing each other in numerous different wars

Millennia ago we were enslaving all kinds of folk getting them to build massive structures in order to worship (insert god/ruler) not to mention sacrificing people to said god/ruler

Not to mention all the pillaging, raping and murdering throughout our history

Don't blame social media for humans doing what humans have always done

This is disgusting. What a waste of life.

I don't have Facebook, but broadcasting my bs to the entire world is the last thing that would go through my mind.
I will NEVER open a Facebook account. Not because I'm paranoid about being monitored or any other paranoid delusions. But the amount of drama that is caused over the stupid thing is absolutely ridiculous.
Petty arguments, spouses cheating, cyber crimes, even murder. I've seen it all happen over this stupid application.
It took 24 hours before they took the video down? Unreal.
How many times was the video of this beautiful little girl being sadistically murdered by her father, passed around to gore porn fiends.
The amount of indignity alone imposed on this little girl each time someone watches the video is sickening.
Eff Facebook and eff these low life, poor excuses for humans.
I hope he burns in hell

daughters eyes are absolutely stunning. She would have been a beautiful girl. Eff this guy. Maybe there is no hell, but any form of a afterlife no doubt has this guy seeing what he did. Perhaps that in itself is hell to know what you cut short.

That sucks.
