I think we need a major shift in how politicians are selected. First off only those who pay more taxes than welfare benefits or social assistance they receive should be allowed to vote. It's not fair to have half of the population vote the other halfs money to them.

Why stop there , why not go back to only landed gentry being allowed to vote.

Hillary was a terrible cadidate to put against anyone, but I would squarely blame the Trump win on the Democratic Party leadership for cheating their way to select her anyways.

because he was still part of the problem...
Republican... Democrat it does not matter, look at the countries history, we have gone through stretches where each party was in charge and once we started to only elect lawyers and professional politicians, we the people were SOL.

I did not vote for Trump, I voted third party.

The only candidates that I was ok with were Rand Paul and Gary Johnson. But nobody votes for rational.

He looks like a hobo, no offense intended. Appearances matter for politicians. You can't be president unless you have a great appearance. Case in point, Trump.

If I were to have voted, I would have voted for Rand Paul. Trump is a war monger just like Obama, in the pockets of the military industrial complex, dropping tens of thousands of bombs on Muslims.

Obama's most well know law...Obama Care. A complete and total disaster.

It's not a complete disaster when someone like my 61 year old mother couldn't get insurance because of her preexisting condition (dwarfism) but now she can. Unless of course you don't care about people like her. For 30 years she would vomit up every 3rd meal she had, and had constant pain in her stomach. Now because of the ACA that has changed. I think Obama every day for that.

Voted for Trump. Still don't regret it. Any person is better than Killary the Soros in Chief.

Whenever the government has their hands in healthcare it's never a good outcome, no matter who is president.

I think most people would have chosen anyone over Hillary actually

Um, actually most people voted for Hillary.

As far as Kasich, I also thought he was far and away the best candidate from the republicans, although WAY too conservative for my taste.

Who's paying for that insurance? It doesn't come free? Someone else is paying for it? If you like socialism so much, Russia is that way.

considering only about 60% of registered voters actually voted... I would say more did not vote for her.

But even if you just count those that voted... do not forget millions voted for the third party... so once more she did not get the majority of the votes...That line only works if you just focus on the 2 main candidates.

I'm very confident the 'line' works, but thanks for your rationalization thoughts.

Yeah like I'm pretty sure the American public wanted another "bought and paid for" establishment candidate back in office. I don't know what planet your on but that's a funny thought.

Incorrect. Most people did not vote for Hillary. Hillary failed to garner more than 50% of votes. In France election, that would have went to a run off.

I pay for it in my taxes. And I'm glad to do it. I also pay for the other socialist programs like the american military the police department, firefighters etc. If you didn't know those were socialist programs maybe your the one who should leave

I for one wanted Burnie, I knew early on it wasn't gonna be Hillary, and I damned sure wasn't gonna cross party lines to vote for any of the line ups, except for John Kasich , he sounded like a decent guy but was drowned out by all the noise from the rest of the idiots in the line up, looking at him doing the Daily Show got me thinking , if Burnie was not a thing, then it should have been this guy, we now have the orange pussy grabbing misogynist idiot who knows nothing about the job he supposedly wanted, so he farmed out everything to his daughter and son in law, he is undoing laws not because there is anything wrong with them, but because Obama put them in.
So yes while I would have chosen Burnie over him, I would have chosen him over Hillary.

Here is the interview, it's only 16 min out of your life.

My mother is a life long independent voter and lived her entir life in Ohio and hate Kasich for several reasons.

And who still watching the daily show? Trevor Noah isn't funny. I miss Jon Stewart
