It's not my belief it has anything to do with 'stupidity' at all.

It has to do with a maniac in charge of a failing nation with nothing to lose if he does attempt a nuke and the ramifications for doing so. Nothing to lose as he has no care for his 'people' - they mean nothing to him.

If or when I am sorry for the loss of his people, but I still would appreciate if we nuke him to glass so we're done with his crap. Better yet - send someone(s) in to take him out without collateral human loss.

peace

One thing to consider, NK always (like clockwork) starts rattling sabers whenever SK is in a election. I guess its to sway elections overall. After the elections, NK goes quiet. Seems this has been happening like clockwork for decades now. the SK folks ignore it at this point given its just endless hot air.

So, something to consider...still, him demanding his laying waste of all nations nearby is enough to technically call a defensive action (we can simply say we believe him)...and if a cop (this is a ongoing police action) feels a threat by someone to kill him is real, he will take action and take out the perp.

@ Is North Korea dumb enough to Nuke Seoul?

Possibly if felt there was nothing to lose.
1 thinks however a biological attack may be more destructive, if more sensitive potential targets? in that region are not attacked to cause more global pain...

Question does nk have a biological test program?

Good Question!

North Korea continues to have the scientists and facilities for producing biological products and microorganisms. The North has the ability to produce traditional infectious biological warfare agents or toxins and biological weapons. Acting on orders of Kim Il-sung, in November 1980 North Korea accelerated the development of biological weapons, organizing research institutions and plants with specialists from other countries.

North Korea has been pursuing research and development related to biological warfare since the 1960s. Pyongyangs resources presently include a rudimentary (by Western standards) biotechnology infrastructure that is sufficient to support the production of limited quantities of toxins, as well as viral and bacterial biological warfare agents. In the early 1990s, an open press release by a foreign government referred to applied military biotechnology work at numerous North Korean medical institutes and universities dealing with pathogens such as anthrax, cholera, and plague. North Korea possesses a sufficient munitions-production infrastructure to accomplish weaponization of BW agents.
bio-war NK
I guess so...

My take on this...

Kim is a busted flush in this game of global poker.

The Generals know Kim is history and they are weighing the odds of personal survival.

The US and China (and even Russia) have boxed NK in and have been turning up the heat day by day. Even the 100 senator meeting is kind of stage managed (it was announced days ago).

The objective being to give time to the Generals to make a choice on future leader, one that will allow them all to walk away rather than be fried.

Seoul won't be nuked because that would put all the Generals on the BBQ in short order.

Worst case is NK will nuke itself, to create confusion allowing the Generals to flee, if they don't get enough pension rights from the US / China.

Its not about what we see, its about what we don't see.

Another nk thread.

Its like trump/Hillary theads all over again.

It's what people have on their mind. Why did you click the link, just to leave a bitchy comment?

No I don't think NK will nuke the south. For one thing I don't think they have the means to deploy a nuclear weapon.

Plus it would serve no purpose to destroy a country you plan to invade.

Just my opinion.

Well you are just wrong - They have set off nukes already several times - to deliver it to south korea, we cannot intercept a missile that is launched 20 or 30 miles, and even if they fail at that that they just have to drive one a few miles over the border and set it off.

You need to think like Kim - if he is near certain he is about to be killed - does he really care if most of the rest of the country dies with him?

All this doom mongering over NK is getting a bit much. Granted at least it's a break from the last year of Trump/Clinton bashing.

I hope this can be resolved amicably or at least with minimal impact on innocent families. However that does seem a little unlikely and the people of the world ain't gonna get a say (unless conscripted). It doesn't look good.

Whilst reading up on the arsenal at NKs disposal I came across the Rodong-C -also known as the KN-08.

That's right he's only gone and made a KNOB rocket.

Apologies in advance for my childishness on a serious subject, but to emphasise he has made a KNOB rocket.

Is this WW3 or Desicable Me 3?

Makes you wonder.

Almost all forms of communication (tv/radio/internet) has to be sanctioned by the state to use, and then it's all closed circuit state-run media. It's all they've ever known. When the bombs start flying, there might be a few million peasants brainwashed enough to storm across the DMZ for Dear Leader.

I think your worst case is a very optimistic worst case scenerio...

You don't put questionable people guarding your ability to launch your one trump card. You put your most trusted people there.

He will launch the second he thinks "they" are actually comming for him.

If he is disposed, he will most likely be drug through the streets and treated just like Kadafi and history will barely remember his name.

If he launches he makes the history books for all ages..

If we or china are going to depose him he has nothing to lose, not even life.

North Korea is trolling the world.

The absolutely last thing they want is a war or anything to destroy their little commie utopia.

I think we should do what were are suppose to do with trolls

Ignore them they eventually go away.

Weve been ignoring them for 25 years and they built Nuclear Weapons. They aint going away.

It's been 65 years

GRAMPs said it....Daddy said it... Baby Kim said it... They've always said it. Saber rattling by a snot nosed kid with no experience...

Don't worry... our guys got him covered from everywhere...

I feel badly also for the North Koreans.
Fat Boy must go-again, 007, Seals or let China do it-they'll end up owning NK anyway.

Unfortunately, fat Boy is killing thousands, even his own family while we wait...and wait....and wait.
