MOD is a hardcore/thrash/crossover/metal band out of NYC, originally. Now based in Austin, TX of all places. MOD is Billy Milano's band. Milano was the lead singer for SOD.

It has been 30 years since the band's debut USA for MOD. I have been playing the crap out of it for weeks now. It contains such classics as Bubble Butt, Short but Sweet, (a 6 second song) and A.I.D.S. Safe to say, political correctness was not on Billy's mind at the time.

The band got a lot of time on MTV for True Colors from 1989's Gross Misconduct album.

MOD was like on the next level after the Big 4, along with DRI.

MOD will be releasing their first new album in 10 years, Busted, Broke & American on July 7th.

I loved that era!!
U.S.A for the M.O.D rocked!!

As for that A.I.D.S song, hated the words because I couldn't play it to anyone but that guitar riff (the rhythm) really kicks ass for the heavyness.

I didn't like much after that album though.

D.R.I had some good ones as well...I think it was 4 Of A Kind was the album I had, might have had Thrash Zone too??

Thanks for the heads up and thanks for making me feel old.

Thats a name from the archives. That whole era of crazyness was a fun time in metal. SOD, MOD, old school Anthrax, Gwar, etc.

Getting back to MOD, here's their video for True Colors:

It's a great song and I love the whole record too. Definitely their most mainstream though.

Talk about crazy, there is a SOD video where he climbs up on a speaker, or whatever, and jumps into the crowd. Guy had to be close to 300 lbs then. It was awesome.

Sorry just saw your message. Nothing, I was replying to another member in the thread that brought up Gwar. See where it says "reply to saturnfx"? My bad, will happily exit thread now.

3+ years later and I finally bought the CD. Giving it repeated listens, hoping it grows on me. But one song I really like is They. So far, that reminds me most of old school MOD.
