I agree with that. So tell congress to not give the rich a great big tax break. I don't want my money going to anymore bailouts and "tax cuts" to the rich. Cuts never happens, it just rolls down hill to counties raising taxes on property owners. Rent is expensive enough.

I don't care what others make or what they spend.

I'm not an anal person wrapped up in class warfare.

Who coincidentally happen to be some of the most intelligent people in the world. Not to mention world renowned philanthropists.

The "rich" are an easy target for the uneducated voters that the leftist target. They are basically taking advantage of the politics of envy. You will notice that the left loves rich people as long as they support the ideology. This is why any time leftist are whining about the rich, they are constantly talking about CEOs but they never say anything about entertainers and athletes. A 60 year old CEO running a $25 billion global company employing 100,000 people isn't worth $20 million (most of which comes from exercising stock option that paid out because share price went up) but they don't have a peep to say about some ditzy actor making $20 million PER MOVIE.

The other thing you have to be careful about is how they define "rich". First, what they love to do is trot out billionaires as the poster child, but then when they actually get down to specifics, they really mean someone making say $250,000 a year. In many big cities, you can have a high school principal and a cop making $250k/yr household income.

Second, they also don't know the difference between income and wealth. You can have a low income but be immensely wealthy. You can also have a high income but not be all that wealthy. Income is what you make in any given year. Wealth is what you have accumulated/saved.

A retired old lady may have an income of $30,000/yr but could very well be sitting on $5 million in assets. On the other hand, someone could make $500k/yr but still not have a lot in savings if they have a lot of expenses.

Finally, the left simple does not understand wealth creation. They think it is a fixed pie and don't understand that the pie expands. In other words, when someone's share of the pie grows, they assume that the pie can't expand and thus you are taking someone else's slice.

A good example of this is not looking beyond the wealthy. You take someone like Bill Gates. Yes, he is worth $75 billion. However, you cannot ignore the massive amount of wealth creation that he generated for everyone below him. Microsoft has created tens of thousands of millionaires and a few billionaires. Not too mention all the tens of thousands of six figure jobs both direct and indirectly related to Microsoft. I think most of the people who benefit have no issue with Bill Gates being worth $75 billion.

These kinds of OPs make me want to cry...

The "Left" doesn't hate the rich "successful" people. They don't hate the Obamas or the Clintons or the Pelosis or the Reids or the Podestas or any other rich liberal "successful" people. They're just executing their role on one of the many battle fronts in the divide-and-conquer campaign against the people... well aware that lots of little folk will happily play foot soldier for them spreading the propaganda in oh-so-self-righteous indignation.

And while the "liberals" are pitting the "have-nots" against the "haves" and encouraging the "have-nots" to demand greater government control, the "conservatives" are pitting the "haves" against the "have-nots", and encouraging the "haves" to demand greater corporate control. In the end, we're all just controlled more and more by this unholy union of government and corporations. The very definition of fascism: government/corporate control over the natural resources, means of production (including labor), and therefore the distribution of profits and wealth.

You pretty much made that point in the last sentence of the OP:

The rich provide the jobs.

Yeah, they do -- but they shouldn't be the only source of jobs... and yet increasingly we are forced to depend on the "rich" for our livelihood all because of government regulation and corporate welfare killing any/all competition, and destroying the average person's ability to give themselves a job. All while we are being conditioned to believe we are fortunate and privileged to have a job, and we damn well better be grateful for whatever they deign to bestow on us.

Do you really believe that the right hates illegal immigration? That's their bread and butter!!! But they can't tell the public that they want cheap labor, so they fuss and moan and groan about illegal immigration -- but don't do a damn thing about it... why? Because Obama's pen and phone are so powerful? Because they don't want to look mean? Of course not! Big business is making big bucks off the backs of illegals!!! So is the government. They're taking in money hand-over-fist from illegals with stolen Social Security cards... income tax deductions and payroll tax deductions... they're loving this!!!

People shouldn't have to be dependent on either government or corporate largesse. We're fighting over different sets of shackles with the same end result!!!

I just felt like coming into the mud pit and ranting against those who severely suffer from the devastating mental disorder called liberalism, it was a temporary urge.

It's nothing to come unhinged about, so calm down before you hurt yourself. You may want to consider playing on the freeway, preferably at night while drunk. ~$heopleNation

I get a little unhinged when I listen to people spread lies simply because they're a-holes who want to rant. So I guess I'll stop when you do.

Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll try that. May I suggest you drink bleach.

The Left is obsessed with importing illegal immigrants who possess little skill or wealth and only further grow the gap between the rich and the poor. Then the Left has this eternal argument about how they have right to tax the top 1% or even rich successful people like millionaires. I think America needs a cooling off period to allow the illegals to assimilate into American culture. And that means stopping all immigration also known as pulling a FDR Who was a Democrat Trump on steroids.

Rush made an excellent point about immigration why would you bring your kids here to such a racist sexist misgyony Society such as America? Yes America has it Sins like slavery but at least American civilization never performed human sacrifice such as the ancient societies of Mexico. I mean just imagine if America had a cooling off period of just 10 years. We might actually be able to save hand out programs like Social Security.

It seems to me that the left is only interested in the votes of the illegals. Because if people truly wanted to experience the American dream he wouldn't be taxing the rich or even moderately upper-class citizens that America has already. The rich provide the jobs.

Actually, it's not the left that's been obsessed with that.

This whole 'Left', 'Right' language is for retarded people.

Like you can put our entire population into two boxes and each group will agree in the same way about all things.

So number one - anybody who uses that language is a retard.

----

I suspect people who do not like rich people are the sort of people who acquired their wealth unjustly, or who did not provide anything for society to gain that wealth. Or worse is detrimental to society and sucks out the wealth like a leach; or even worse, does that and looks down upon working class people who support them.

Because of the 2008 banking crisis where the rich elites held a gun to all of our heads and forced the poor people to bail them out when their illegal activities brought the worlds economy to the point of collapse.

They pulled off the biggest heist in history, and laughed in all of our faces as they got away with it.

That doesn't make you mad too?

Wait, don't Repubs always say the Left loves and follows George Soros? And aren't the Clinton's both rich & successful? At this point, it seems like you're just throwing random crap at the wall, hoping that something sticks.

Don't start asking them to actually making sense....

It's not fair to say "the rich elites"...

That is exactly the kind of retoric and logical fallacy that leads to these type of propaganda posts...

It wasn't every wealthy elite, obviously..

It was most likely a dozen banking elites and the politicians they have bought and paid for.

I do it too, but the over generalizations exactly like your comment and this OP is providing the fodder for the propaganda factories.

If (when) liberals double down on the logical fallacies and other debate no, nos.. you are not helping the cause by supporting it..you are providing the fodder for people who don't pay attention to politics to be turned against you...

However if the left quits playing ball with false narratives that "sound good"..

Then only the right is playing that game, and the truth always wins in the end.. or at least usually.

You are

If not a retard, then ATLEAST factually incorrect, lol...

There is no one box you can put ANY large group of human beings into..

We are just too damn varied.

There is nothing all conservatives agree on..

There is nothing all liberals agree on..

Which is why I hate the Fox News type propaganda the most...

Just the concept that:

" all the scientific community, teachers, media, colleges, professors, unions and celebrities are all in a vast conspiracy to make republicans look bad and discredit Jesus!!!"

Is just on its face value patently ridiculous...

It's not that all those people just don't agree with Fox News types...noooo..

It's that they are all involved in some super secret illuminati type conspiracy!!

Lmao

There is little difference between the left or the right side of politics when it comes to the pursuit of money. The only difference is in the distribution. Politicians on the left want fewer people to hold all the money and for the masses to be poor, a two class system. Those on the right want a strong middle class.
This why the biggest advocates of socialist policies are usually coining in wealth at every opportunity and never practising what they preach. Take Obama as an example - just about to be paid $400k for a speech and spent a month on a gas guzzling polluting yacht whilst telling everyone else to change their behaviours and pay more to protect the planet.

a lot of folks generally hate rich people. people generally have animosity towards what others have and they do not. Usually when they (the have nots) didn't put in any work for what they don't have.

An example? fitness. out of shape people will often have animosity towards a friend who is either in shape, or working on it. they say things like, "oh running is soo bad for your knees!" or "beauty is on the inside" - while both are somewhat true, it's their excuse or animosity.

I don't have a lot of money, I have a wife and two kids, I work for a wage and have my own small business on the side. We make ends meet, but just that.

I work hard as hell on my own tactical company - it's doing okay, but I see people who have done well as entrepreneurs and try to emulate their success - rather than whine about not having it... yet.

The left tends to have more people who want and not willing to work for it. that's the core of the party values I hate to say aka socialism. I want without work is their battle cry. Granted not all, but a lot (no I don't have stats or sources, we all just know the left is inherently less likely to work. sorry, it's a fact.

there are rich and successfully men and women who lean left - and I also like to emulate their approach to business - you know why? because dollar bills are not left or right, they are a means to a future and to support a family, fuel a business, or a vacation - like gasoline. nothing more nothing less.

But at the end of the day, the OP is correct, the left tends to hate rich people - or people finding well earned success in life. it's the participation trophy mindset - I also see it in the ole 'damnatio memoriae' concept that keeps fueling the left these days. not so much left as in DNC leadership, that's a different story, rather the huddled masses who suckle from the teets of government milk.

Freedom is much sweeter my friends, drink from liberty! lol

to add, its funny how antifa crowd, many are dependent on govt, call the right fascists? somebody needs to get these kids a dictionary.

You're wrong. And what you seem to think is wrong. But then most everything coming out of the Right now days is just demonstrably false.

It's not America that's racist. It's the white people on the right that are racist. Thankfully you guys are being weeded out slowly but surely.
