They only hate the rich that aren't pushing the narrative and towing the line.

I mean... look at the Clinton's. They made tens of millions of dollars through private speeches to corporate donors and the left didn't even bat an eye.

But they didn't cause millions of people to lose their homes, and their life savings and retirement plans, did they?
No. Nothing quite so nefarious as we see from the now "powerful" elite.

Left right left right. Ffs. More division.

These "new forms of weird liberals" (in the USA) are not the only "left" people. And the description of these weird new "left" people, doesn't cover all leftists.

Small government, less rules, less rulers, less authoritarian rulers, live and let live. Free markets. Make money, less taxes. Health and education makes a country healthy and smart. It should be available. Guns for sane people, if they want them. That's left thinking and I can't find anything wrong with it.

My biggest complaint about the so called "right" these days, on ATS, is that some of them cannot stop whining about the left.
Nobody is all left, or all right.

Among other reasons, but really the prime reason in my opinion, is that success of the individual is very and fundamentally contrary to the left/communist/socialist interpretation of a balanced society. To the stateists, individual success is a primary pathology of western culture. Certainly when individual success does not clearly serve the collective.

In addition, any individual achievement of note is seen as "heroic", which is another irritating feature of western culture according to the philosophy. Certainly any heroics that serves the "mindset" of individualism and not the "state". Individual "heroic" simply breed more individual action ect. Cant have that in a world were con-men strap themselves atop humanity and ride them like a horse, tax them as if they were criminals and generally suck from the marrow, like parasites, of the salt of the earth.

I'm not so convinced that the left or right direction of successful rich people is the source of the negative aspects attached to being rich and successful as mentioned. To ask why one particular side feels a particular way is a deeper routed question, asking why the one side is not as good or is inferior to the thoughts of another direction.

It does not source from left and or right, and instead rich and successful stems from a higher and higher rate of legacy and bloodlines than rates of individual successes. Greed, envy, and money only revolve around the premise of one color... green. Being it's clear as day that there is clearly rich sectors spread among the outskirts of poor sectors, its a solid indication that rich and successful people (IN GENERAL) take their money away from the poor problem and sequester the poor into sectors, while the rich build and run from the poor's need and help. Rich people essentially run from the problems they created, then stand back and point fingers at all other non involved groups as being the main contributions to the negative influences of the lack of care offered by the U.S. wealthy.

All you people creating divide into these further broken down groups are to blame if you ask me. All you people pointing left this and right that... a large percentage of these finger pointers have zero clue what other walks of like have to live through on a daily basis. The blame and influence that steers the masses are consequence to the choices, good or bad, that the rich and successful apply to all sectors within the lands they financially influence and alter... way easier than any poor person could. It's the weirdest element in the world to me, that all you people living where the problems are least for Americans as a whole, seemingly have all the answers as to what direction the problems sourced from, yet continue to over and over again seemingly only make decisions to better assist the already rich and established... ignoring the realities that you rich and successful are actually the cause the whole time.

This message is intended for the legacy gained wealth... those of you that gather wealth from ancestors, then march around like the money was self made and never giving it to areas to help humanity as whole.

If you are rich and you spend your time and efforts ignoring others, and especially that gained the wealth by family and not work... then watch for when I come around you... I plan to take your money and give it to people who deserve it. If you're rich and you make remarks of left & right... then I am planning to take your money without care of where it was sourced. Pirates of this new century look for portfolios.... not ships with chests of gold. These pirates come from all directions... left, right, up, down... they enjoy when people are clouded by specifics.

but at least American civilization never performed human sacrifice such as the ancient societies of Mexico.

How can anyone be that stupid....

Mexico never performed human sacrifice either! That was the Aztecs and Mayans! Mexico is a country colonised by SPAIN!

Blaming Mexico for the human sacrifices of the Aztecs and Mayans is as dumb as blaming the USA for the barbaric thing its own Natives did before European colonisation.

Because if people truly wanted to experience the American dream he wouldn't be taxing the rich or even moderately upper-class citizens that America has already. The rich provide the jobs.

Don't tax the rich or almost rich??
Do you expect the poorest people to pay all the taxes? That won't bring in enough to support the military, or the infrastructure of the country. Plus no money left for food and household bills.

Maybe a consumer tax? Tax on stuff bought (not food), like cars, furniture, etc...
That will be a tax on the highest spenders.

quick response to headline alone:

We don't. We hate cheaters and greedy asshats who stash their cash overseas and avoid paying taxes.
There are plenty of successful rich people who are fantastic citizens, but allowed to pay too little to our own country via laws that shelter them.

Trump is not a fantastic citizen. The people we deride are not fantastic citizens. They are greedy, soulless monsters. With names like Dimon, and Mnuchin, and DeVos, and Ryan and Bannon and Alex Jones. THOSE are the ones we "hate." And I don't really consider them "people."

Case 1: Donald Trump (not his real name BTW) was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and squandered a $h!tload of his daddy's money on failed business ventures. Remember Trump airlines or the Trump board game? nobody does.

And people call millenials entitled, the good ol' prez wants it all and it was handed to him by daddy and voters, so you can understand why those that support the left who busted their @$$es for decades are not happy. Trump gets a trust fund and the white house while Joe and his cafe staff will never see retirement, Apple and google will make billions from foreign tax registration but if Joe misses one tax payment the IRS gets grumpy.

There is nothing wrong with making a fortune, as long as it is earned and/or spent for the right reasons.

Yes because if we deregulate the rich and get rid of the min wage, businesses will just decide to forgo profits and pay people more out of the kindness of there little wall street hearts...

If there is an abundance of jobs and a shortage of workers, wages will go up.

If the opposite is true, wages will go down.

Simple supply and demand.

If everyone agreed to work for minimum wage, would wages go up or down?

Nope, we are proud of them and appreciate them. We are not "controlled" by them. Those are good people. Bezos, too. Oprah, Musk, the Obamas, etc. We are glad to have them and proud of them.

Buffet himself says "tax me more!" Bill and Melinda Gates spend their wealth on educational causes (opposite to DeVos) and the arts. Zuckerberg is a GenX/Millennial forward thinker. None of them are evil bastards.

Why does the Left hate Rich Successful people?

Because their the only voters they can't try to buy with free snip.

The LEFT specifically targets low information voters, poor, needy, and use psychological warfare in to making their neighbor their enemy.

With the express purpose of getting their vote, and once they have it throw them away they were nothing, until the next election rolls around.

Truthfully though.

The left only HATES rich, successful people with R's by their names.

The Buffets, the Gates,Zuckerberg aka the limosine liberal is perfectly acceptable to them.

However the final endgame of LEFTISM.

Is making EVERYONE equally poor.

To the point the one percent no longer exists.

The war on the rich.

The only war LEFTIST have ever won.

Less than one percent exist today.

If it were an animal it would be an endangered species list.

I see complaining about George Soros rather frequently, but it's generally not by people on the left.

The argument that Trump didn't work for anything is really silly when you actually look at the numbers and put the entire thing into perspective. In the US alone, 15 million millionaires. Less than 2000 billionaires in the world. How many of those millionaires will reach a billion? You don't become a billionaire by mistake, and every successful entrepreneur failed many many times.
