If McDonalds had a branch on the Death Star or any Imperial controlled city, this is exactly how I imagine their staff would dress

Exactly my first impression as well.

Furthermore, what the hell are they thinking claiming they're for an “easy transition from the restaurant to a social environment”. No one wants to hit up a "social environment" reeking of fryer grease. Having shortly worked at a McDonalds back in my youth I can attest to the fact that the first thing you want to do when you get off work there is to take a damn shower to try to get rid of the smell.

Boy! You hit the nail on the head with the "dystopia theme" comment.
Those costumes reek of slave labor suffering under an oppressive force (be it corporate or federal)
(Just kidding in the brackets portion.)

Same designer as the one who made Hillary's outfits.

My God.

I KNEW something looked "familiar".

Do they serve anyone over 30 or do you have to go to "carousel"?

I quite like them.

Same can't be said for the food, which, for the most part, is more bland.

Except for their strawberry milkshakes, which are fantastic.

I still eat the McNuggets every couple months. Still pissed that they changed them to thinner ones that are air baked or just fully cooked and warmed up now. I liked the deep fried thicker ones.

Honestly I don't think they cook the food so much as warm it up anymore. Pretty sure Burger King doesn't cook anymore either.

I was thinking the same thing as I read the OP... Who cares when there will be touch screens for all registers and machines that run everything with only one or 2 people running each franchise.

The new uniform collections were developed based on feedback from restaurant employees and customers, and may be worn by approximately 850,000 restaurant employees as they serve nearly 25 million customers every day. More than 70% of restaurant employees surveyed feel that the new uniforms provide a modern image that they would be proud to wear.

Seriously.

Who'd be proud of being a fast food worker getting paid minimum wage.

Everything is so grey these days. It seems to be the trending design theme in room decor too. Even wood items - grey stain.
Hate it - too cold looking. Unfeeling...cold..drab.

Our world must just be in a grey mood ...🌚

I'd worry more, in their place, about he bad service, crappy food, and loss of customers. The ugly uniforms should fit right in to the tire-store-looking buildings!! Hideous, truly. One where we live is across the street from a tire place, and an automotive place, and if you removed the signage, you couldn't tell which one was supposed to be a restaurant!! The service model used to be a good one, and very fast, but they changed it along with the new buildings, and it went from great to horrible. Many times longer to get an order, surly employees that acted like wanting to fill your drink cup while waiting was now a crime, and the food itself even changed. We haven't been back in years. Don't miss them at all. The drones that still go can deal with the drone uniforms.
