Well you said it. Art falls under free speech so that makes this a non issue don't you think? Or is this supposed to be a rant?

We are just finding it interesting that this kind of vengeance porn is back in vogue again after 8 years of such things being beyond the pale.

Beheaded President, sure, why not....Just don't dare to display the Ten Commandments, those are truly offensive!

Or a Nativity scene at Christmas time.
Merry Christmas....not Happy Holidays.

In the 21st century what passes for art is anything but.

C'mon, this ranks right up there with da Vinci!

I think it ranks right up their with Robspierre.

That didn't have a very happy ending.

"Anti-the normalisation of division"? Is this when I point out those identity-group specific safe spaces? Or should I not even go there ....

Definitely done in poor taste, art is meant to be controversial but personally I wouldn't cross a line like this.

ETA: maybe in your own room, but definitely not at a University.

Not when a multi billion dollar company could sue the artist.

All the intentional offensive stuff aside, which is typical of some artists. The painting itself isn't even that good.

But that seems to be the thing with artists who don't actually have any talent in their medium of choice. They over use the offensive idea of their message because they suck at actually having any talent.

Like peeing on a bible or setting a cross on fire or something. There is no talent required at all, but they call it art and because it's offensive they get famous for it.

I don't consider that art. Anyone could paint that picture.

Glad someone else pointed that out.

This equates to a FB meme IMO...and not even an original.

Just as long as it is not the head of Muhammed.

Then it would be islamaphobic, racist and illegal in many countries.

So this must be proof that Trump doesn't wear a toupee!

We should recall that people wrote "Trump" in chalk on a sidewalk at Emory university, and many students felt less safe. Of course we already know, as this painting proves, that it is the dissenting opinion and wrong-think they hate, and not the speech itself.

LOL

Somehow you were actually able to find a deeper hidden message in that painting after all.

Be a real shame if Chris Evans sued the 'artist' for intellectual property theft.

A persons likeness can not be used without permission.

You mean I could be sued by Hillary for posting photos I took at the zoo last week?

Oh, this masterpiece is a rich tapestry of deep hidden messages.
For example, The artist is openly proclaiming his allegiance to ISIS. Beheading is their thing!
