Have conservatives become more socially liberal than "liberals"?

What utter rubbish.

I am a Christian. It is because I am a Christian, that I empathise with and identify with left wing thinking, and find right wing thinking to be ghastly and immoral.

Furthermore, being intolerant of intolerance is legitimate. Being intolerant of difference is not. One of these things, the inability to tolerate intolerance, will save the world. The opposite thing will kill it.

AMEN True Brit. Spot on.

ETA,, i think your vision of the left is misguided but i agree with the second paragraph 100%. Neutral is the best way people. I don't think Neo nor Toys is as far right as you think.

Thats a good call Irishhaf, and it is very important that we understand that attempting to change what a word means, without the permission of those it describes is not helpful in the least.

However, while people like the current upper tier of the US government (nearly entirely rammed full of corporatist, hard right lunatics), and the WBC control the narrative (which they do) the people you mention will cease to be the ones best described with terminology like Republican, or Conservative. By comparison to the entities I mentioned, as well as a great many others with a loud voice in the general cacophony that is politics, the people you describe might as well be commies and socialists, for all that they have any relationship or similarity to their nations leaders, and good on them!

I think you're 100% correct.

The antifa crowd has gone off the deep end. Interestingly enough, a group of self proclaimed socialist are yelling NAZI! at every conservative republican. Last I checked, NAZI was a German workers SOCIALIST party?

As far as Conservatives and the Christian crowd (who was drug into this argument by other posters), simply vote and live their lives according to their beliefs, but surly don't go out threatening people who don't go along.

Let me paint a picture, to promote the LGBT community, the LGBT crowd dresses like butterflies and throws dildos at people (including children!). While the conservative (Christian) crowd says, "well, whatever you do between the bedsheets is not my business. just please stop throwing dildos at my 3 year old."

Yes, sometimes older Christians may knock on your door and want to share the Gospel with you, because the great commission teaches Christians to spread to love and get as many people to accept Jesus as possible. They knock on your door because they love you, and want to help you (even if you think Christianity is stupid, you can't deny that they are taking their free time to try and save you're everlasting soul.) even if Mormons or JW come to my door, though I am not either, I still show respect bc they took time to care about me.

The liberals crowd, has not once shown me or my family any degree of love. I've had my home vandalized bc of my political affiliation. its okay, I got them on tape and they got dealt with (side note, I took footage to local news and aired it week before election, lol so if anyone in my usually blue county was on the fence, lol you know, now its a red county) Tolerance

I've had liberals wish death upon me because of my military service in Iraq. I once left a good review on Amazon for a speaker system for our TV. I have an inner auditory processing disorder from an EFP explosion. anyhow, I left a good review and how much the system has helped. a bunch of people said I should go die in a cave, called me a baby killer. lol Tolerance.

a local church that I have attended used to open up as a polling place - we had to stop doing that because if you rent out to one person you have to do it to everyone. The LGBT movement was calling local churches to schedule fake weddings just to put a church in the hot seat. they were just looking for lawsuits, not find a nice wedding chapel. Tolerance

I have a tactical company, I donate a lot of money to charities. my company, my money, my choice (lol kinda like liberals and abortions, but not on vaccines). a lady who was a sponsored Boston Marathon running was raising money and was furious that I was Pro-Life and donated to groups promoting pro-life rallies. She told me to put my money where my mouth was and sponsor her bc she was running for St Jude, so If I loved kids so much why didn't I give her money? She tried to publically bully me into giving her money for her cause? Tolerance

anyway, I don't care about what I hear in news, internet, etc, but this is just what I see with my own eyes in my own life.

The Progressive party is what's running the DNC these days. They are not the classical liberals of our Foundibg Father days. Yes many are outright Marxists and adhere to a Marxist ideology whether they call it thaa or not. Jonah Goldberg explains this in his book "Liberal Fascism". Fascism comes from the same cloth as communism. It's all leftist ideals. Totalitarian big government statist control.

Nonsense. Hitler was a fascist, and he hated communism with a passion.

Where did you get this rotten argument from?

I'm not sure what you are talking about... The moderates are still in control of the DNC. That is what is driving the Democrat base up a wall right now. They all want more Progressive leadership but the DNC keeps putting moderates in charge.
