Without having read the thread, I found this in the same image, could we be looking at some weird-assed movie set or is this an image artifact and if so does it shed any light on the surveyors reflector on the rock?.........

Sublime - man our minds think similarly. I swear I had noticed that the first time I viewed the picture and thought it was odd. But check this out. There are MULTIPLE right angle cut outs all over this picture. See below...

Devon Island has been mentioned earlier, but why would the JPL try to pass Devon Island as Mars?

President Trump wants to put a man (or woman) on Mars in the next few years. Could he influence NASA's choice of a landing location? The area being discussed in this thread would be an excellent place to explore, wouldn't it?

Interesting... I only looked through the first 4 pages, was there a Phage response?

Nice find but it doesn't have the defined symetry that the first one has, however, still pretty weird.

No there isn't...and why is that so important, does he know the answer? If he does, hopefully he will come along and clear everything up for us. Typical that he's never around when you need his level-headedness.

Perhaps we need a way of summoning him - like the Bat-Signal, perhaps?

Another trail marker on Mars

That one is the weirdest I've seen so far, and I've seen
some that boggle. No useful comment- it looks just so out
of place...

Haha, yes...as long as he isn't wearing his underwear on the outside of his trousers!

Another trail marker on Mars

It's a rock that broke open when the rover rovered over it.

That's why we are gonna send humans to Mars, To learn the Martians how to paint!

It rovered it quite nice yes

Not sure it broke off on that exact same spot though. Also interesting that the ChemCam noticed it and made some close ups.

Tis the Ace of Spades (anyone knows that!?!). Camera crew's quick card game at the JPL 'Mars Mock-up' was going good for the holder of that card, then 'splitsville' when the crew-boss blew 'break over'... but they didn't police the area good enough when shooting resumed. Somebody' might get demerited for that, but there are so many gaffs maybe it doesn't really matter. We should have sympathy for the player who threw down the Ace at the last moment - no pot for you, 'XXXX'.
