Not a big loss. I used to watch his show occasionally, but his ego and self-promotion were too annoying to watch consistently. He finally lost me as a viewer last year when he came out in favor of an assault weapons ban. Hopefully they can find another Tucker Carlson somewhere to replace him.

Apparently it's money...if it wasn't then the allegations would not be allegations, they would be in court with actual evidence and he would be arrested. It's amazing to me how easily money buys self worth....

Similar to a drunk that is rich and kills a family member in an accident...I can tell you I would never settle...I would want that person to sit in prison for as long as possible.

Any competent lawyer will advise the client in that situation to take the settlement.

You can flip the argument around too. Bill never would have settled if it couldn't be proven.

We can only hope that one day, all the networks are either CNN or MSNBC.

I'll just stick to Skinimax at that point.

Is that 'The Diet Channel' or 'The Taxidermy Channel' ?

I met Bill a few years back. Very friendly to me and to the woman I was dating at the time.

FTR: She is smokin' hot...and O'Reilly didn't even attempt to grope, insult or proposition her.

Probably because she didn't work for him. That seems to be his "thing".

Bill O'Reilly was a rich, famous person. People like that are frequently the target of lawsuits. People want money, and all they have to do is accuse someone. Famous, rich people usually settle quickly, because it is easier than dealing with the fallout, even if they are innocent.

So, a few times, some women accused Bill of things and then got a payout. When one gets paid, others follow the easy money.

Now, the most recent:

The most recent allegation came on Tuesday evening when lawyer for a former African-American clerical worker at Fox alleged her client had been harassed by Mr O'Reilly in 2008

www.bbc.com...

I would almost guarantee that lawyer is a Dem. And 2008? All of a sudden they decide to make accusations? Nothing strange about that?

The hit jobs worked with Ailes. So, some who don't like what O'Reilly says force him out the same way. Who do you think was calling the advertisers telling them to drop O'Reilly?

Good. Then we can say good bye to Fox news altogether.

Right!

Because the only ideals that should be allowed on network tv is the ones you agree with.

Maybe they'll get to burn O'Reilly's books too.

Bill O'Reilly is Mark Dice is Fake Yapper is Racist Madcow is Mika Brzezinski is Alex Jones.

If any of them were actually impartial and showed professionalism in their jobs, I might give them some respect.

Good riddance to Billy - he looks like a pedo too.

There'll be a Breitbart News Channel soon enough and he'll be the main anchor.
Either that or he'll write a sh*tty book to sell to his diehards.

Good riddance.

He writes a lot of books. Well, I use the term loosely. Actually, he puts his name on a lot of books while he pays others to write them for him.

I was gonna make a joke about him doing that as well.

I didn't even know that, but then a lot of truth is found in comedy.

Now Now S.

If Bill O was a pedo the CTRL Left would be defending him.

Instead of trying to burn the guy at the stake for being a straight white male.

Trump really liked O'Reilly. Said he was a good guy.

I am guessing Trump watched him as he watches so many hours of FOX per day.

He may be a good guy. If these ladies were truly concerned about sexual harassment, money wouldn't be what they were looking for...seems a payday was all they wanted.

You have no idea what women who suffer sexual harrasment are "looking for".

With 13 mill. in payouts and growing, I think it's obvious what they are looking for.

If you can give me a good reason why he & Fox settled, I might believe that.

He is worth 85,000,000$ I think he will land on his feet.

Oh and I bet he gets a few mill for being fired.

The wealthy have contracts to ensure they are taken care of.... I wonder if O'Reilly was against union contracts?

Except they have him recorded by one of his accusers talking nasty to her on the phone about what he wanted to do to her while she said literally nothing to encourage it.

If you think that all those women are lying you're just not sane. Bill is a pig and an a-hole who cost fox news millions of dollars by not controlling his urges with the women he employed.

I'd say this is the most ridiculous thing you've ever written on ATS...

But it's you, so there are probably a few gems I'm forgetting.

Clearly someone hasn't heard about pizzagate, haiti, and the long list of pedo busts that's been making the news.

Ridiculous?

Hardly.
