I went back through the past months posts here adi am surprised no one seems to have posted this news. (Did i just miss it somehow?). After all, its pretty profound if true:

The Chinese have declared IOC for the chengdu J-20 stealth fighter.

This means the us military no longer has a monopoly on 5th gen fighters or stealth aircraft.

It is not clear what the role of the J-20 is yet: we think its n AWACS killer but the Chinese are not saying.

It is not clear how many J-20 are production versions and how many are still just preproduction prototypes. How many really ARE in service?

It is also unclear what the J-20 is capable of at IOC too.

I also did this one back in November when they first unveiled it at an Air show for is first public demonstration. It is officially in service now, good. They can give us a hand in mitigating North Korea's nuclear threat by working together to strike their infrastructure.
