LOL Sheesh, I forgot to say HELLO to everyone!

Hope everyone is well.

Work is just..... a problem right now. Nothing new, just busy.

Paul is in surgery. They took him back about an hour ago. Told us to expect 5 hours. Have I told you guys how bad I am at waiting?

Thought I'd tell you my story.

I had open heart surgery when I was 3.

Back then, open heart surgery was pretty new, and being only 3, my mom had to be in the waiting room.

I don't know how she survived it.

Surgery was supposed to take around 20 hours if I'm remembering correctly, but when the surgeon came out after 8 hours, my mom's heart sank.

But the surgery was done and I was good as new.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should post that story to Jess. I thought it might be kinda hope inspiring but I wasn't sure.

But I had a friend who had a child who needed the same surgery and they said it made them less fearful, so I hope it was OK.
Oh, and Troll, lol, he's OK, but we hit some very desperate money situations and he gets very stressed when that happens, so he's preoccupied, but he'll be back.

Gail, we are just happy to spend some time with you, don't worry about responding to everyone individually!

I think a story with a happy ending (like your surgery) is always welcome when someone is worrying. We all want happy endings when hearts and operations are involved.

I hear you about the money issues, living the same situation here. (I know why I have constant anxiety but feel better when I blame the weather, lol).

Just seeing your avatar and name and the words "Member is on ATS now" is enough to make us feel warm and fuzzy!
You are loved and thought about.
Please give our love to Tom too, the Shedlands are not the same without Sir Errollorre and his Lady.

Thanks for sharing your lovely story - I want to shake that surgeon by the hand, because without him... we wouldn't have you!

Give Tom a huge big bear-hug from me, and tell him we all miss him and are here for him (and you both!).

Is there anything practical that we can do to help??

I have a purple squishy cushion?
or an old squeaky Dog Toy to distract him!!
...and there may be some "flavoured" Gins left over...... maybe!
