Funny. Friend of mine and I snuck in to the movie "Sid and Nancy" when it came out. We got caught and had to go to the proper theater.

Police Academy 6. No joke. LOL

My playlist is pretty eclectic too, but more Classical to Jazz to New Age to Folk to Alternative.
And I'm a BIG sucker for female vocalists. Norah Jones or Sarah McLachlan wouldn't have to do anything with me, just sing.
*sigh*

As music lovers, I don't think we need to label ourselves to one category.

My all time favourite band is actually Blue Rodeo (Canadian boys). Jim Cuddy has always been the only 'celebrity' that I've ever wanted to meet/marry/run away with...lol. Their music has got me through some really hard times in my life and when my girls listen to their music, they say it always reminds them of me.
Don't even know what category they fall under and it doesn't matter.
They touch my heart.

Jings crivvens, help ma boab!!!
Eliminator was 1983 as well!!!
I thought it was '85??

I was thinking of pitching an idea to my local pub...
"Classic Album Afternoons"
Maybe Sunday afternoons... take over their Lounge Bar and set up a record deck (turntable).
Play classic albums on vinyl... encourage punters to bring their own...
On the promo poster, FB & website... "Next Week... ZZ Top ELIMINATOR, Big Country THE CROSSING and AC/DC Back to Black In Black...
Thoughts?

These two songs in particular got me through a painful divorce. Can't explain why, lol.

In the 2nd video towards the end, the lyrics are "out in the middle of Lake Ontario"...which is close to me, so I always liked the reference.

Edit: I have to go out and pick up the boss. Thanks for keeping me company here guys!! See y'all later!!

The singer reminds me a wee bit of Neil Finn? of Crowded House.
Yeah I like it.
Thank you.
