What gave it away?

I lived in Texas for a year. The humidity just drained all my energy but it sure feels awesome to go swimming haha! You guys get some awesome thunderstorms over there... I love storms

I believe you mentioned living in Cali before. The humidity and rain we get can be a pain in the backside. Flooding and tropical storms doesn't make things any better.

Probably I did. Man, I haven't been in a good storm in way too long... I always feel rejuvenated during a storm

Storms beat earthquakes anyway so I have that to be happy for.

Lucid, for some reason I don't have permission to reply to your "Poetry with a Message" thread so I'll do it here.

Thank you for sharing from your soul my friend.

"When I began to listen to poetry, it's when I began to listen to the stones, and I began to listen to what the clouds had to say, and I began to listen to others. And I think, most importantly for all of us, then you begin to learn to listen to the soul, the soul of yourself in here, which is also the soul of everyone else." Joy Harjo

It fits in here just as well, man. The thread was in the writers section, figured prolly should poetry and stuff over there since there's apparently a tiff over it happening in short stories a bunch. Though I suppose I might put it in chitchat instead? That way everyone could respond to it. Didn't really think about it much

Go ahead and leave it as is because I can still read it there.

The Short Story Forum is appropriate, if you leave it at that there won't be any misunderstandings.
Well done BTW. Stared and flagged.

Who would I talk to about possibly moving it then?

You should just leave it there, that is the appropriate place for short stories. People will find it. don't worry.
But if you must ask the Forum moderator in that Forum.

Or PM a moderator you are acquainted with. They are always helpful.

Hello Shed peeps!

I am so happy! I recently finished a writing project and now
its an actual ebook! Currently its going through approval on
various retailer sites, but its been accepted by four so far.

The reason I'm mentioning it here is because all my friends
and family are sick of hearing about it. lol. So I figured
who better to inflict the latest news on than strangers and
near strangers.

Anyway, I know there's a lot of writers here, some with the
dream of having a book done eventually, so if there are any
questions I'd be happy to help. (if I can).

Isn't it great to live in an age where we don't have to beg
a large publisher to accept our works?

Woo hoo!!!

Well how do you actually go about making an ebook. Like the process of it.
