Get ready to watch the first-ever 360-degree livestream of a NASA rocket launch

360 degree view of a NASA rocket launch. This is supposed to really make the viewing experience a lot closer to the launch.

On Tuesday morning, NASA will broadcast its first-ever rocket launch livestream in 360-degree video, providing an unprecedented vantage point that will make viewers feel as if they are standing on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral.

The 360 degree view will be live streamed on the NASA television channel on you tube. The 360 degree view is supposed to give us a much closer look at a the powerful rocket launch, NASA calls it "pads-eye view".

The 360-degree livestream will be accessible on the NASA Television YouTube channel starting 10 minutes prior to liftoff.

While the minimum safe viewing distance is typically miles away from the launch pad, this livestream promises viewers a much closer look at a powerful rocket launch, or what NASA is calling a "pads-eye view."

The bigger issues are that spheres dont exist, the earth is flat, rockets aren't real, and perhaps 360 degrees isn't even plausible (?).

If you haven't, checkout the ULA Rocket Launch ones, YouTube has the 4K 360 versions and it's mind blowing - being able to stand at the bottom of the rocket and looking up...I'm ".." this close to being there for real.

NASA has some good 360 content on there channels too, the ones on Mars are pretty good,I can stand and look around and see what it'd be like to be on Mars.

The Trappist System we recently found is on there channel also,it was amazing to be standing on one of the planets looking up at the multiple close by planets (yes yes, CGI recreation).

Looking down on Earth from the ISS, walking on the Moon from the Apollo Images stitched to 360, exploring Pluto from New Horizon Images and Data...

More people need to get a VR set.
