You found one example from almost 30 years ago, and from the Daily KOS.

Did the Daily KOS misrepresent what happened? If not, you're pitching red herring.

Shall we talk about the murders of doctors in the name of "pro-life"?

How about bombed and burnt medical clinics?

Should we talk about the number of firearms the Hutraree Christian Militia Movement has? (Hint, it's more than all Islamic terrorists charged in the US since 9/11.)

Please. Let's talk about the play and not start on the hypocrisy of "the followers of the Prince of Peace" ...

How can the progenitor of something claim to be what he is labelled?

So, L. Ron Hubbard wasn't a Scientologist by that logic.

So for everyone who said, cool... it's ok. What if someone were to make a play mocking people of color, slavery and the hardships they endured? Using burning crosses, cotton, chains and whips... all of that to turn it around and make a mockery of slavery and what those people went through? Is that ok too?

It takes a special kind of person to purposely make fun of someone elses beliefs.

you mean what if someone made a play mocking terrible # that really happened?

yeah cause thats the same as mocking # that didnt happen

and an alternate version does not equal mockery....just saying

Didnt happen.... tell Christians that. They wont believe you. So it's the same thing.

Tolerance.

There's a word that has 1,000,000 meanings.

if you say so
either way, christianity is pretty new at the whole tolerance thing anyway
they still have a long way to go

Jesus was the ultimate Christian.

He founded the basis for it. How can the progenitor of something claim to be what he is labelled? That's absurd!

I think you'll find that you can't beat me when it comes to the Bible so now you're trying to deflect. You've told half truths and mixed lies with truth here. I'm calling you out.

It's what I'm told to do. I will correct you on doctrine with love, I don't have anything against you personally.

So ... Jesus is a follower of himself? That must be as confusing as being his own father.

Yeah, you're a regular debate whiz-kid.

I'll tell you again.

Hypocrisy is a SIN.

These people are not being Christians when they act this way, they can call themselves what they like, they're NOT imaging Christ.

This is what it all boils down to. To imitate Christ is perfection. NO other religion can claim that, none. You can not fault him, you can't blame him either.

i guess.
i dont really care what they believe and i dont care if theyre offended by a play. not really my problem.

i have seen very little in the way of tolerance from all religions. they all preach it yet none of them actually show it.
my opinion based on what i have experienced in my life

LOL ... the thread is about Christians trying to shut down a legitimate business ... and if Christians want to come in here and defend that, then you should expect a bit of real-talk ... /shrug.

You're not getting this are you.

Christian is a label that simply means we try to image Christ as best we can.

Jesus would have asked me who I thought he was, and I would probably have guessed wrong. Jesus wasn't 'anything' to himself, he was everything for everyone else. How are you missing this?

The father is an aspect. You're too literal.

Why would I sin.

That makes me hypocrite.

Changing doctrine is a major sin, I'm not going to see the spirit behind this because I already know what it is. It's right there in the description.

We are talking about plays and the like, not abortion, not firearms. And you always criticize the source and not the content. I'm just revealing your hypocrisy.

You are getting real talk! You are just doing what Progs do! Deflect to defend your political church and it's goal!

Explain the context then and I'l correct you when you go wrong.

From what I've gathered here your comments are disguised as mockery in itself.

Explain your perspective and we'll have a real conversation. Stop just slinging things at me.
