Jesus was married to the church. That's another thing you've missed. He's the groom of the church. This is basic stuff....

A few things have rubbed off in my 50 years Neo, Christians yes ... Christanity, no

Apparently not alot.

Because that play makes absolutely no effing sense what so ever.

One of GOD's command was to go forth and multiply.

Not create a technology and use money to go change how GOD made us in to something that can not procreate.

Gosh, do you think it might be ... I don't know, an ironic statement on social mores rather than an fing morality play?

As to the rest of your gobble ... what?

Again WHAT IS THE POINT of that here in America? If we were living in the Middle East I am pretty sure someone would do it.
Man please take off your blinders.

LOL ... you mean the Church that wasn't built until after his death?

That Church that he was going to "build" on the Rock called Peter? LOL.

Gotta love a hard-body, eh?

You get warm inside when people get offended because their core values and beliefs are being made a mockery by people who want a reaction?

Why?

Who cares.

The people protesting?
Mind your own business.

Interesting thread.

Imagine one where Islam is mocked. The outrage would be enormous.

Going to enjoy all the posts on this one.

When they attempted to show Voltaire's play "Mohamet" in France, cars were upended and set on fire. That play is centuries old. It appears we've come a long way.

So people weren't executed in the streets over it?

Those poor cars.

I found it funny how certain things are off limits to poke and some are ok.

So you decided to show that by poking at something you knew would result in exactly what this is resulting in?

You must be so proud.

How did I do that?

I've told you once, I'll tell you again.

The entire story of Christ is his marriage to the church. He's the groom who comes back in the night to take his bride (the saved church).

Mock me all you want, I know my scripture, you, evidently, do not.

Jesus established the church whilst alive with Peter, AGAIN basic stuff.

Muslims don't honor Jesus, stop spreading that half truth.

They view Jesus as a man, only a man. Albeit he comes back to defeat their Dejal.

Jesus is the saviour, he's NOT a man, and to call him anything other than what he is, is an insult. Had you read the Bible you'd know that. If you have read the Bible, read it again to refresh your mind, cleanse your spirit and be filled with love.

Prophet and the Messiah actually.

Had you read the Quran you'd know that.

If anything I consider that play to be and epic statement of cognitive dissonance.

After screaming separation of church and state.

As per the first amendment that gives even Christians the right to practice their religion how they see fit.

Solidified in Clinton's RFRA.

Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

So Christianphobes got absolutely NOTHING.

What pisses me off about it is simply that you can take someone's belief and rip it apart and mock it till you run out of breath... as long as it's christian.

But it's not ok to turn it around. That REALLY pisses me off.

You want to bash someone's religion and beliefs... Fine, that's your right. It just shows your true colors; what kind of person you are. Just don't say a damn thing when they do it to you.

So for everyone who said, cool... it's ok. What if someone were to make a play mocking people of color, slavery and the hardships they endured? Using burning crosses, cotton, chains and whips... all of that to turn it around and make a mockery of slavery and what those people went through? Is that ok too?

It takes a special kind of person to purposely make fun of someone elses beliefs.

Nonsense. They'd be killed.

My point is that Christianity, though it has been the butt of your jokes for centuries, is far more lenient than the religion that is in dire need of satire and mockery, yet you refuse to do it. You hold different standards to different religions.

Oh he's a messiah.

Please tell me what special power to forgive sins Allah grants Jesus please?

Messiah he is NOT in Islamic doctrine. You're, again, taking power from Christ.

Where was I? At home. Where were you?

Get over yourself.

"Freedom of Speech Rally?" LOL. Is that what you're calling the Trump Love Fests now?

You're suggesting that there was not one Trump supporter who antagonized the other's demonstrating?

PFFT.

Political violence is always wrong.

Next?

Yep!

That's it in a nutshell! It's open season on Christians from those on the Progressive Left! But yet let someone do a play with a bunch of gay dudes and Mohammad and poking jabs at Islam and this whole thread would turn upside down with the Mandella effect!

Why do you falsely accuse me? That is unbecoming of you. I have mocked Islam and Muhammad many times. Oh and what about the drawing Muhammad contests? Uh huh you conveniently forgot about that. Gee I wonder why.
