Whats interesting is even after seeing themselves on stage as Adam and Steve they still cant see the downright madness of the idea.

Hence why it is humorous? How it is the point?

They can get away with this because Christians who are upset just complain and start petition drives inviting mockery. If they tried Mohammad and Aidan (Aisha), the top would come off the venue, literally.

Because Muslims kill when they get upset.

Get away with it?

Should the play be shut down?

Are you arguing that Christians should act more like you think Muslims do?

He doesn't know that the reference to Adam and Steve is a take off on the stupidity started by Anita Bryant and repeated by many wise, honest and wonderful Christians.

When people are surrounded by like in kind, any situation is granted as justified. History is full of these harsh lessons.

It sorta stupid. Adam and Steve.....or whatever.....two men as the first humans made by a queer God or some shlizzle. It would have not only ALL ended right there.........

As stupid as Christians claiming that homosexuals can't reproduce despite many of them being married to women?

Nope.

Just saying that in a society that protects so many groups from being offended ... it seems some groups are more equal than others.

There is a definite progressive stack at work. You can spit on some all your want with what you do.

Imagine this play featuring a gay reimagining of the Koran because, realistically, Muslims have been and still are murderously hostile to gays to this day. It seems to be the reason why this was done to Christianity -- to tweak Christians and poke fun at them or just outright mock them because of the historic hostility to gays.

So what's good for one hostile group ought to be good for another one would think.

After all, such things are brave and shocking which is what such art is really about. Heck, you don't even see a lot of Christians batting an eye at this, we've mostly become so jaded to societal signs of hostility and lack of general respect for things sacred to us.

If you really want to shock, you should move on to the new special snowflake religion, the one that riots and throws bombs every time someone names a Teddy bear Mohammad. Just imagine the provocation to be had there!

Its really the premise that gets top billing in this case not all this convoluted baggage.

Oh yea thats right.....when God made Adam and Steve he also made them a breading bitch so that the human race wouldnt just die out right there. She didn't get called a beard until the oppressive christians forced gays underground. LOL yea plenty of comedy there.

John was called the beloved disciple and tended to lay on Christ's breast a lot ... hmmm

Maybe Christ had man-boobs. Maybe instead of the always depicted swimmers body, he had the pear shaped, beer gut, of a regular couch potato.

So you don't see the humor? I see the humor in stupid Christians claiming that homosexuals can't reproduce despite history showing that they have had children over and over and over again.

Well, Jesus always hung around with twelve guys, except for the beard Mary Magdeline. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Dude you are just playing a very silly word game. Homosexuals really don't reproduce with their own gender and were fake phoney to their wives in most cases.

This is an actual quote from a famous Christian: "As a mother, I know that homosexuals cannot biologically reproduce children; therefore, they must recruit our children".

It's as silly as hypotheticals such as "if you put all men or all women on an island they will die out". Like DUUUUUUUH. Epic duh! Stupid. Get it?

LOL. But really.....only in the sick and twisted minds of some. Minds that understand zero governance, are wild and twisted.
