So about this play ...

Let's assume it is 'mocking" religious beliefs.

Who here wants to shut it down?

Either it is ok to criticise, mock and make jokes/parodies, silly plays, drawings, songs, films about anything we like or it is not ok to criticise, mock etc. anything at all.

That's it.

Either Islam, Christianity, homosexuality, straightness, men, women, trans, black, white, ginger, blonde, EVERYONE is fair game or no one is.

It's that simple.

I choose the 'everyone and all things are fair game' option. How about you?

I wonder if they'd do the same to the Quran? Oh right. They won't. They'd be killed. More proof that the Christian tradition is farther along in its evolution.

They would only do it if they didn't have to worry about any backlash, which looks fairly minimal at this point. They definitely won't do one about the Quran, however, because....well, we know why.

My point is that no one would do one about the Quran. You can avoid that point how you wish

Nonsense. They'd be killed. My point is that Christianity, though it has been the butt of your jokes for centuries, is far more lenient than the religion that is in dire need of satire and mockery, yet you refuse to do it. You hold different standards to different religions.

Now will you admit you are wrong?

Right ... those christianophobes that work so hard to keep Christians from marrying each other and what-not.

Well you can thank the party of the donkey for that.

The origin story government in the business of marriage and gun control.

That racist party got involved to keep inter racial marriages from happening.

But you can try to blame them evil christians all day long.

Won't ever be the truth.

I could have said Berkeley protests.

The list goes on.

But I don't expect christianphobes to acknowledge their hypocrisy.

Christianphobes?!?

Holy buzzwords, Bats!

See also "progophobes" also freshly coined in this masterpiece.

but after all imitation is the highest form of flattery ...

At least you admitted that mimickery.

I have more.

Here's the list.

Bankerphobe.

Gunphobe

Ceophobe.

Corporationphobe.

Climatephobe.

GMOPHOBE.

And my personal favorite.

Neophobe.

Lol you must live in a world of fear, I've never heard of any of these terms hahah.

"If you don't agree with me, you're a 'blank'phobe!"

Considering that 'play' specifically caters to a population segment that represents .001% of the population.

Its going to shut itself down due to lack of revenue.

Theatres are ALL about the benjamins like any other business.

I don't have to do anything.

Alright then.

If you don't agree with me I will create a play and mock your beliefs and try to shame you in to submission.

Easy peasy.

ATS EZ.

Dont sidestep the question.

Do you want to shut the play down like the League for Minding Other People's Business for Them does?

or not?

Jesus wants you to tell the truth.

Wow!!!! How big are your blinders? I've literally destroyed your point with ONE example of people mocking Islam IN REAL LIFE, not anonymous and you still can't see it?

I guess propaganda is working too well.

No you haven't. You made the argument (or pretended to) that this issue ends at the American border, which is false. And now you conflate an obscure Mohammed drawing contest (where people were shot) with a play about gay themes in the Bible.

Again, you nor anyone else will do a play regarding gay themes in the quran. You destroyed nothing.

I never made that claim. We can talk about the world if you want. But the play is HERE in America and YOU made the claim that nobody would do the same or similar thing mocking Muslims HERE in America because "we know why".
