Free menstrual products in the men's rest rooms at U of Wisconsin Madison. When asked why men's rooms needed women's hygiene products, "it is to make them available to all the students who need them."

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is rolling out a new pilot program to provide free menstrual products in several of its campus bathrooms — including some men’s restrooms.
Asked why women’s hygiene products are needed inside men’s bathrooms, Wagner said: “Menstrual products will be available in all of the bathrooms of the Red Gym so that they are available to any student who might need them.”

The student govt' decided that purchasing menstrual products was an unnecessary burden, according to student Rep Katrina Morrison. Having them free and readily available is definitely a necessity she said.

The free tampon program was brought forth by the university’s student government. Student Rep. Katrina Morrison called purchasing menstrual products “an unnecessary burden,” according to the Badger Herald campus newspaper.

“Having them be free and readily available in campus buildings is definitely a necessity,” she said.

I heard men in college are sticking vodka soaked tampons up their back sides to get drunk in class these days.

Shouldn't colleges have more pressing issues to attend to? Rather than putting corks in a mens bathroom?

Pretty sure they change shape when soaked in anything.

Excuse my ignorance but that doesn't make sense to me.

Aren't these things like a dime or something real cheap?

Is this really the big things in college that are concerning the average student (hint-tuition)?
