I ran into some different ones.

Just so we are clear, they don't say it is utopia but they don't sound like you...red scarfs???

Nazis say the same about Germany under Hitler... i guess it was never a national socialist dictatorship for a lot of people...

Here is an idiot pointing out "the good things of Germany under Hitler"...

That does it... The Nazis were not so bad...

This is why I don't really try with you

You:

That claim you made that there is no distinction in clasess within a socialist/communist regime is false.

Me:

I never made that claim. You might want to check that out. I wasn't even into the habit of saying that even before you told me about the mansions in Cuba. Now I just default to that.

There is even proof of this Here

If my family lost everything because of Castro he would seem one way to me. If they ascended within the Communist Party to become wealthy I might see him differently. ElectricUniverse admits that both of those experiences exist in Cuba.

In through the eyes and right out the ears I guess and you have the nerve to ask why I don't even bother.

ETA: You know saying that they accomplished some things and not being bad is not the same thing. The world isn't black and white. It isn't even just shades of gray.

What proof? you never post proof. You also claim never to need to corroborate your arguments... That's the proof you use.

I hate to interject, but I can't help but notice my initial impression of you being correct. You argue just to argue. You hold a position that says you don't support socialism, yet you attempt to argue the facts against socialism at every opportunity with opinions whenever facts concerning real accounts are presented to you. You're like the definition of the "Devils Advocate" just for the sake of being on the internet which allows you to do so for your own entertainment.

Others have more class. Like Kali. At least she presented an alternative theory as to what socialism should mean, according to her, contrary to what the classic modern existing examples of socialism really is. Not you though. You just nit pick all the way along, like you're trying to create a stir just to be trollish.

After seeing so many members use this strategy over and over, it's really hard to not put you in it with them. I mean, who really defends indoctrination of communism, the true purpose of the thread. Why, it's you! Not with facts or anything of substance, nope, just your desire to keep wanting to seem relevant with random jabs. It's like you're looking for nothing but attention or just pure entertainment. You can't refute a word Electric has said to you, but you continue as if you're on a quest to never let go of your pride.

Just my observation. Carry on comrade!

Really, I claim multiple times that I believe EU when he says that there are wealthy people in Cuba. When I call him out for saying that I claimed that "in Cuba everyone is the same", although I never said it, I'm the troll?

I even linked posts showing just that and still he says, you give no proof.

It's expected though.

Oh HI!! I've read many books, and none of them work out well for communism, not in the past and not today. What's up?

The exaggeration. I agree with a lot of it but when someone posted a video of empty shelves at a grocery store I found another of a farmers market full of produce. Why not take in all the info you can.

Here is an article of Venezuelans crossing into Brazil to buy stuff
Venezuelans flood Brazil border in 36-hour grocery run

Now it sucks that they have to go to such measures but looking at it objectively, these people have money, they are free to leave venezuela and then they even decide to return to venezuela.

They obviously have the right to trade and I didn't see one person hauled off to the gulag and this isn't exactly a story that the venezuelan government can spin in their favor.

Ok, fair argument. Let's say you have 100% solid proof of this. Exaggerations may exist. Maybe some people are actually happy under socialist rule, under the current definition of socialism going on, on planet Earth. Not Kali's, let's make that clear.

Yet, at the same time, you are perfectly willing to say that you aren't defending socialism. Fine. But what's the point? Why don't you present the argument that the current socialism that you are defending, should replace capitalism, as corrupt as it may be in the U.S. Do that! Why not? You're already on that road.

So show some real data as to why it would be better, rather than argue petty points that some exaggerations may exist. Because when you don't you just look trollish.

I'm sure you'll come back with some witty reason as to why I'm somehow mis-understanding you and that pointing out petty things is more important than recognizing that socialism as we know it, fails, miserably. Go ahead, but I'm here to tell you that it's beyond the point of annoying, it's a pride thing to you, IMO.

Socialism as we know it does fail miserably. I am not, nor have I ever defended it.

How am I going to convince you of something that I don't believe?

I dunno! That's where the confusion lies, I suppose. What are you arguing about? Exaggerations? Why?

Mainly because is the stuff propaganda is made of.

Today it is "they are suffering" tomorrow it's "they need liberating". Wnat CT is made of.

It's what I have found down the rabbit hole.

I won't disagree with you there. I think you and EU and I are more on the same page than you think.

Not exactly, I'm not pissed off at all. I'm just pointing out the truth admitted by Mussolini, all states are a merger of corporate and government power. Everything under them is under their control. The differences although important, can be minimal.

Propaganda tells you should count your lucky stars, maybe even shut up and take it, because you don't want to end up like "them".

Then come the exaggerations to instill fear.

Why not just look for the truth, accept the bad and acknowledge when it isn't as bad as we have been led to believe?

Sure, until the propaganda becomes to a point where you are now accepting statist ideals. At what point do you draw the line? I've been down the rabbit hole too you know. I have come to find out that globalist control is the very worst of the worst. When you start defending government control, that's when you know you are in trouble.

We could do this for hours, going in circles. I am not going to convince you of anything. All I know is that you should start focusing on the big picture rather than emphasize your whole argument based on "exaggerations". It's just not worth it IMO.

Your freedom to be yourself, while making your own personal decisions, buying what you want, when you want.. being who you want to be, and saying what you want to say, with no restrictions... while owning what you want to own etc trumps everything else on Earth, If socialism does that for you, then do it.

Just don't try to harm anyone in the process or limit someone elses' freedoms to accomplish your goals and you'll do fine.

Good luck!

I'm not a socialist. The US was statist from the word go. I have no problem with the majority of the countries in the world copying its system, they have even if not exactly.

The big picture is that everyone is screwed, including you, even if you believe what they tell you to believe.

Funny thing, I get two Venezuelan channels where I live. They talk the same smack about the US and try to tell their people how good they have it not having to live in the evil empire. Their exaggerations suck as well.
