We'll be having a lamb roast and ham with some asparagus and potato salad (made by mom). I am bringing deviled eggs and strawberry pies. My sister is doing Easter basket cookies and rolls I think.

It's sort of cobbled together because Easter snuck up on all of us this year.

Usually, the extended family all comes together, but one cousin and wife has a funeral. The other cousin has all of her husband's fam coming in.

So it's just the immediate extended. But that's all right. Kiddo gets to play with his cousins and run wild out in the country for a day or so. He'll be wilder than a March hare.

Oooooh, lamb casserole!
I'm making a lamb stew right now

It passed the above stage and has been simmering for a couple hours now. Can't wait to devour it.
One is not supposed to eat red meat at this particular time, but, apparently I'm rebellious.

Ummm. That oxtail stew sounds good. I am not much of a lamb person though, we are having the sound alike version...Ham.

I don't celebrate Easter, let alone remembered 2017's date, but I'm going to have a home made chicken with stuffing, veggies, rice, and potatoes.

I'm grilling marinated lamb on the grill. We'll have salad, deviled eggs, scalloped potatoes, green beans sautéed in garlic and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. For desert, Italian lemon cream cake.

Easter Brunch is Croque Monsieur, served with asparagus, deviled eggs and ambrosia (fruit salad with apples, pecans, coconut, oranges and pineapple). Yum!

We have a lamb... the wife says that he is off limits.

We have a goose... also declared off-limits.

I figure I will snag the keys to her Jeep, and run something over

My Impala is impractical as a food harvester.

The wife's Jeep... with enough speed can take down a flock of turkeys. Tenderized as well...

For dinner we're making baked ham and yams, roasted Brussel sprouts, couscous and fresh pea salad and chocolate devils food cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert.
But, for breakfast, and day long noshing, we'll be serving hard boiled eggs and Polish sausage, pumpernickel parmesan toast, dill pickles and a cheese and fruit plate.........

it's a family thing.

Use a snow plough .

They don't bounce as much and are easier to find.

I have a bamboo cutting board too!
Nice prep work.
I cook the same way.
Gather everything I need, measure, chop before I start the cooking.

Looks like a good start too.

Old Catholic habits die hard.
