No more talk of the CIA, and their technological capabilities. Very little talk of any of it now. Imo the cia engineered this chaos to get them out of the lime light. How quickly talk of war makes everything seem irrelevant. It's that easy to make 99% of people forget. Throw an airline passenger off a plane and there you have it. Lob some tomahawks. They can't make everyone forget, but the masses sure lost site.

Well, people are too busy being doped up on booze, meds, and having fun under the sun these days. Sorry, but it is pretty much the truth worldwide these days.

To be fair the Vault 7 files are full of technobabble and really hard to understand for most people. The strange thing is that nothing happened after the shady things became public knowledge. No public outcry or lawsuits were filed. It's like the people got zapped with the memory wiping thing from Men in Black. It's like they don't want to know the truth because facing reality is too scary so they keep pretending that nothing happened.

Apathetic is an understatement for this nation. The fact of the matter is that, but for sites like this, the CIA hack barely made a ripple. People are fat and happy and don't give a crap. We've been at war for a decade and a half and it's barely covered on the evening news. We've given up the keys to the kingdom. The public is now irrelevant.

From your keyboard to God's ears, but I doubt it. Looking at his choices for his cabinet, I have no faith he will follow through at all.

I'm confused... I remember back in 2013 or 2014 that there was supposed chemical weapons attacks against Syrian civilians by their own government. The US was pushing to go to war back then, but the people convinced congress not to vote to go to war.

Then, what seemed all-of-the-sudden, at least according to US news, ISIS/ISIL appeared and started really wreaking havok and we suddenly had to do... something... maybe. Somewhere inbetween there the US also supposedly funded/armed ISIS/ISIL because they opposed the Syrian government... and we all know the enemy of our enemy is our friend, right? Right...?

So bombs have been dropped and ISIS was still a problem and then somehow enough refugees start flooding from the single, small country of Syria into European and North American countries and some of those 'refugees' are causing a problem, but not allowing any of them into your country is racist. These are the population of one small country in the middle east and there's how many countries taking them in now? Now out of nowhere, we're back to chemical weapons being used by the Syrian government against it's own people and the US is beating the war drums again.

What the actual $&@# is happening?

Edit: I may be off topic, I may have read too deeply into the OP in ways they did not intend, and then got carried away with my own thoughts. Sorry if that's the case.

Crumbles...

First of all, there has not been a ceasing of talk about the CIA and their capabilities in the least. In fact, they have been in the news just recently, although that news was rather rapidly overshadowed by the same tactics we have seen in previous decades, that of false flags, impotent rages on the part of leaders, rash actions and idiotic announcements, keeping the people wrong footed and unable to respond, such is the weight of the stupid being fed to them.

However, you are right in that it does appear that people seem very comfortable talking about how freedom and liberty must be protected, meaning they support blowing other countries up, without any apparent awareness that their own government has ensured the total destruction of freedom and liberty, by treating all citizens as a terrorist threat, and absorbing all their data, removing privacy from people without warrant to do so, or probable cause to occasion the receipt of such a warrant as would be necessary to allow this invasion.

It's pretty obvious unless you're just being obtuse for a few stars.
