It's likability.

Look at our last few presidents. Mostly likable. Not based on Policy but just on Charisma. People liked Obama, They liked Bush Jr, they Liked Bill Clinton, They liked Reagon, they liked Carter. Bush Sr and Trump are the anomalies, But Bush Sr, got in on the Tailcoat of Reagon and Trump was more likable than Hillary.

i think u could include obama in that list. he was a nobody with very lil experience.

I'm just talking about likability and Charisma. People liked him. Nobody liked Hillary. That's the point.

ah gotcha and agree. except for the fact that there is a large portion of people who do like what trump has to say. it was evident in his rallies leading up to him winning the election

And you're correct, except that I believe that if we had a really Charismatic opponent running against Trump he would have lost. Obama his first run vs Trump. That would have been something to see. Or someone like Bush Jr vs Trump in the primaries.

I don't hate Clinton because she is a woman...I hate Clinton because she is a vile piece of corrupt, criminal crap that can only make the world better by leaving it.

Clinton campaign plagued by bickering

She’d been humiliated in the Michigan primary the night before, a loss that not only robbed her of a prime opportunity to put Bernie Sanders down for good but also exposed several of her weaknesses. How could she have been left so vulnerable? She knew — or at least she thought she did. The blame belonged to her campaign team, she believed, for failing to hone her message, energize important constituencies and take care of business in getting voters to the polls. And now, Jake Sullivan, her de facto chief strategist, was giving her lip about the last answer she’d delivered in the prep session.

“That’s not very good,” Sullivan corrected.

“Really?” Hillary snapped back.

The room fell silent.

“Why don’t you do it?”

The comment was pointed and sarcastic, but she meant it. So for the next 30 minutes, there he was, pretending to be Hillary while she critiqued his performance.

What a sad campaign.

It's also sad that she managed to win the Democratic nomination.

Gender bias wasn't why she lost, 60% of white women voted for trump. She lost because the American electorate is poorly informed and emotionally motivated when voting for president. Partisan fools like you bother me, and there are so many of you on ATS now.
Ah ignorance...your choice of words "market place of ideas" was a bad choice if you're republican. Across the entire country from senate, congress and every state legislator. The percentage of democratic voters in all is 60 to 40 republicans. But republicans have 75% of all governments seats. That's because of the black-lash of Obama being voted in in 2008. Republicans gerrymandered every district in 2010 to win it all the next time around and it payed off. There's nothing wrong with gerrymandering in America, I mean the rest of the western democratic world sees it as representatives choosing their voters instead of the other way around, but that's the crazy wild west democracy you have. All this BS you were talking about is all supposition and assumption. Read a book. Or at least read up some facts, because your so called "market place of ideas" say democrats are winning the ideological fight even if republicans are better at winning elections.

PS I'm a conservative, who doesn't give a # about all this sensationalism

Private email server? Deserves death...but cheating 1000s of dollars out of poor people in a fraudulent school is ok. I don't mind Trump supporters because he said a lot of Ron Paul like things that got people's attention, from anti-interventionism to states rights. But Trump supporters who think Clinton is some sort of ultimate evil that can't be compared to Trump should read something, anything. As long as it's not breitbart or infowars.

Ugh what does it say for Americans who believe in innocent till proven guilty, unless it's this woman. I'm not calling Trump a traitor or a criminal even though there are higher odds he's broken more laws than Clinton. Because I believe in the rule of law.

There are just SO many of you douches that label either Clinton as a criminal or Trump as a Russian traitor without ANYTHING but harsh words. I hate you all. Democrats and Republicans. Everything you said was just as good as some tabloid sh*t that morons read. Because facts matter, the law matters and ignoring it because it conflicts with your worldview is some childish a$s sh*t.

You are missing the point. If Trump did rip people off...he paid for it and made amends. If that is all true, he likely did what many others do which is try to profit with a bad product. That is the end of the story.

Clinton is a different creature. She broke laws in order to hide information about what she was doing behind closed doors. She lied to the American public after allowing Americans to be murdered. This is conspiracy and resulted in deaths, cover ups, lies, etc...partially simply to allow Obama to be reelected.

There is a difference between a private citizen selling crap and a government official who is corrupt that has lead to multiple deaths.

Don't ya think???

Yeah that bugs me too. Bugs me that Sanders is joining with them. I don't see democrats winning the next election unless they give us someone different.

The only issue I'd have is with the term "liberals".

It's the leftists, the socialists that try to rewrite history and change definitions.

It can never be that most people reject their dictatorial brand of politics, it has to be the fault of stupid people.

Hillary Clinton and her weird cult ain't anywhere near the left. This is all about her, and her weird echo-dome of people being 100% unwilling to examine why she lost.

The Burn goes out and drops 1/2 mill on a home right after the thing and doesn't really bother to hide anything didn't really care what it looked like. Point being that they all think folks is real advances saps and suckers for anything these days. Folks cant really say anymore "If the american people really understood what was going on there would be a civil war". Cant be said anymore cause folks have bee seeing what they have been doing and are not going to do anything but bitch.

Lol trump did not make amends nor did he pay back the people he screwed over. The very fact that you used the word conspiracy just makes my point more valid. Innocent till proven guilty, that applies to Hillary as well as Trump. FBI director don't f*ck around. Hillary Clinton wasn't charged with a crime, Trump hasn't been charged with a crime either(at least nothing outside of boring corporate BS). It's all supposition and assumptions on your part. Or you don't have faith in the rule of law and the American the court system, at which point that's your problem.

I said the electorate was uninformed and emotional. Trump tapped into that emotion far better than Clinton who often came off as cold and calculating to people. To quote the 45th President of the US: "I love the poorly educated" lol. There were tons of fake stories about Trump and Clinton. However, there were far more fake stories about Clinton that people believed in no matter what. Thus a poorly informed electorate, whether Clinton or Trump won doesn't matter to me, Americans would still be misinformed.

Step out of your bubble and look at things more objectively. You might discover something new.

PS: I wasn't being partisan, just telling you the truth or is Trump not President? Lol
