Correct.

Is assassination an effective approach? I don't think so. I don't think the military would be cowed.

I agree it's messed up...And that messing up is our fault in the first place for listening to the Saudis about Syria. I don't see how Syria recovers from this. Assad might be the last man standing in Syria but he's not the end solution anymore, neither are any of the opposition.

Thanks for agreeing with me about Obama's empty rhetoric in this matter, as you are providing no defense for his actions.
Words are not actions. I was against military intervention in 2013 (and so was Trump).

Assad has not been cowed by Trump's action, thanks to Russia and Iran having their back, as from the title of this thread.
Russia and Iran did not have Assad's back in 2013?

Yes, I know. Words are not actions. Obama used the words of Syria better not cross his numerous red lines, or else. And he took no actions. Which is why we're in the situation we are today.

It's not a civil war, it's a proxy war being fought by evil heart eating "rebels" and Russian & Syrian armed forces and a Western coalition backed by Saudi Arabia & Israel.

This is a war against Shiites by Zionist Wahhabists using Sunnis.

There is no civil war. That's a Western mandated narrative.

The people of Syria want Al Assad.

Outsider rebels not even from Syria want to make it part of their Wahhabi Caliphate.

Do you really believe that BULL SNIP ?

Syria is a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Sunni versus the Shia, and neither one like the jews.

People like to throw around that word ZIONIST.

They are just being bigoted racists using that pc term.

Hezbollah is Irans version of black water.

ISIS is Saudis version of black water.

And he took no actions. Which is why we're in the situation we are today.

So, we should have attacked Syria in 2013 and everything would be all better now.

I disagree. So did Trump.

That's why you send a shot across the bow.....Did the Russians stop those Tomahawks? Assad isn't stupid. He is literally fighting for his life. The Russians have even said it's not unconditional support.

I personally would like to see proof of them using the weapons, it seems like a horrible error on Assad's part of he did that.

I don't trust any of the players there in Syria.

loll the rebels are stupid enough to release the gas themself just for the public opinion..
lets face it ... why would syria /Russia deploy chemical weapons on an inferieur target knowing the whole world would condem them ..... no sence !
moore logical is the option that it was an set-up by the coalition troops ...
ore the russian version that they hit an gas depot... but that would be an proof that rebels have chemical weapons........ ?.a reply to: pavil

Talk to someone else, Neo, you won't be strawmanning me into a debate with you.

Israel is a terror state. Get over it.

Last I heard he was defeating the rebels all over the place. But the little tomahawk visit doesn't seem to have him worried, he's still dropping bombs.

So many threats? How many?

It would have been better if he didn't say anything, and then didn't do anything?

Everything would be all better now?

I didn't want him to attack. Congress didn't want him to attack. Trump didn't want him to attack. You wanted him to attack?

It's seriously beyond my mind how are there people who still think that you will solve all of the problems in the Middle Eastern countries, just by removing "evil" dictators, who use chemical weapons on their own people.

Just bloody look at Iraq and Libya.

We need Assad, just as much as we needed Gaddafi, till a retarded blood thirsty Hillary Clinton with her buddies decided that Gaddafi was a "bad" human being and should be removed.

If Donald Trump does not stay away from Syria and target only the Islamic state as he promised, then in my eyes, he's no better than Hillary Clinton
