Could very well be BS. The whole "now America will be taken seriously" is an enjoyable but worn out talking point. I can't see Russia getting too hyped up. It does smell like a show, or perhaps Trump is taking this situation to flex?

I don't think this was even near each other's houses. This is baby poop, and a very insignificant and trivial strike. But it does get the point that Trump is wearing his big boy pants.

Common sense would presume they hit what they believed to be an arms depot for rebels/ISIS which actually had chemical weapons stored.

Perhaps it was a setup and they were fed intel to hit it with the fallout to be what we have now
Perhaps nobody knew it had chemical weapons stored and assumed it was standard munitions

Of course they could have used chemical weapons but Assad doesn't strike me as someone stupid enough to do such a thing when he's winning his war, in all his interviews he's come across as very intelligent and in no way appeared to be the psychopath the media would try to make us believe he is

It all seems too convenient and engineered and the swift response, 2 days later with literally zero evidence to show who did it, something just doesn't seem right with all of this

Before Trump strikes again, how about releasing proof it was Assad in the first place? Why should the public take his word?

I agree, I'd like to see proof, I hope Trump offers proof.

Ut oh you are using logic and not buying the media hype. All this falls apart if they want and war and we don't show up.

We really need to investigate this further. Somehow Obama is at fault for bringing us close to nuclear Armageddon.

From the flow of info I glean from ATS. It's Obama's fault all right. Believe me!

I believe Trump attacked partly to show he's not on Russia's side. Time to prepare for the worst, even if it may still be several years away.

Perhaps Trump/s actions were to give the pres of China a little something to think about on the long flight home?

Pretty sure people voted for Trump over Hillary specifically NOT to get her Syria policy, and here Trump is with Hillary's Syria policy.

You remember that too?

Me too.

Professional comedians say funny things, it's their job.

yea i never thought much about people that like to use comedians for social or political commentary. i mean that's how they make their money making people laugh, most of the time they are high and drinking.

carlin was a admitted drunk and junkie who said he was high most of the time. coc aine, vicodin and alcohol does not make for much rational thought.

just one story from his daughter,

On the show, Kelly was frank about her parents' history with substance abuse: "I could tell," Kelly read from her book, "Was Mom drunk? Was she just waking up and had a hangover? Had Dad been up for a few days with coc aine, or was he just smoking some weed, and he's just, you know, kind of mellow? Have they been arguing, are they getting along? Walking on eggshells doesn't even begin to explain it."
As the Carlins' only child, she had a backseat view of George's career (sometimes quite literally, traveling around the country in the "old Dodge Dart"), of his edgy shows, coc aine addiction, alcoholism, health scares and massive IRS debt.
George Carlin's Daughter Describes Growing Up With Comedian: He Did Coke on Our Hawaii Vacation

so i just laugh when people use carlin and some other well known comedians, knowing that they get some of their social and political views from junkies and alcys.
