From the link

F-16 jet crashes outside Washington, DC

A F-15 fighter jet has crashed two miles south of Joint Base Andrews, just outside Washington, DC.

Reporting sure is accurate in the world today.

The web page title also states F-16.

The fleet is aging, unlike fine wine, fighter jets don't get better with age. If it happened 'two miles from base' it was either taking off or landing.

If landing it probably looked something like this Tomcat crash during trials from the 70s. Lo and slo, close to the ground is the most dangerous scenario for ejecting pilots.

On another not named site someone in MD is claiming it was shot down. That they saw a streak of light and then boom. Maybe lightning? What's the weather like over there today.

Also on same said site, another OP predicted in a thread yesterday that this would happen. Creepy....

The pilot ejected and is safe.

The budgets cuts on the military and the air force is causing a lot of military pilots to go on a strike and refusing to do routine fly.

Some of the equipment the pilots use is no working properly and has not be updated in years.

It was an F-16 from the 113th Fighter Wing, DC ANG. The pilot ejected and was taken to a local hospital.

The only pilots refusing to fly are Navy instructor pilots. They're having oxygen system problems with their trainer aircraft and the problem is getting worse.

I heard someone say we spend more on the military than every other country in the world combined. I just can't believe that is the case.

How long do you think it will take CNN to claim the Russians hacked the navigation system?

Because Trump gave them the cypher or whatever.

Wouldn't surprise me.

Not everyone else combined, but it's far more complicated than just "we spend more money than everyone else". Even if they were brand new aircraft though, accidents happen.

Do you think CNN is out to get Trump or that they will just say anything controversial to increase viewership and therefore revenue from advertising. I think CNN is more out to make money than anything else. I don't think they care who is the target.

Rage = Ratings = MONEY

So this isn't Obama's or Hilldogs fault. Wouldn't surprise me!

Two aircraft had just taken off according to reports. One witness said the crashed aircraft may have been on fire before the crash. He saw the pilot after he ejected, and the pilot said there were live weapons on board.
