Samsāra or bondage arises when the puruṣa does not have the discriminate knowledge and so is misled as to its own identity, confusing itself with the Ego/ahamkāra, which is actually an attribute of prakṛti. The spirit is liberated when the discriminate knowledge of the difference between conscious puruṣa and unconscious prakṛti is realized by the puruṣa.

Your true identity is the 'puruṣa' - but you have mistaken yourself for 'prakti' - so you seek for freedom. However, if you realised your true nature you would not have to seek for anything or do anything - because you are free already. The true you does nothing but witness the action ( "I am never without action.")
It is nothing more than a case of misidentification.

The 'puruṣa' is the aware space in which the manifestation/prakti (all that appears) arises and subsides in.

You must remember that both Hinduism and Buddhism are traditions formed from various schools of reason. None of them know what completeness brings for each of us. None of the schools agree, which is parallel to Christian churches with various doctrines, practices and theological views. I take the position of personal realization, but also consider each tradition of value. The Christian view, at least to me, is the resolution to the mystery. We are children being raised back to the image, or conformed back to the true Holiness of God. As a wandering sheep, we must overcome our will to exist in a state of pride. In the end, it's a process to overcome the beast nature with pathos. There IS an individual here. We are all rising back to conformity to the original face before creation (as the Zen tradition would say). The essence of this is to develop your own Aleph (Strength), which is the reason the Father departed form the Son at his death on the cross. He had to face himself in judgment. Why?

HIS blood was shed by Israel. Just as we have a choice, so too the Lord had a choice at this moment. He failed to heed this verse, then paid the cost himself. His Father is Elohim from Genesis 1. If you follow this line of reasoning, judgment of others in any form is this same shedding of blood. Know Thyself is the process to face our own lower nature here in time/space. Rising back is found in completeness of our nature. If it is God doing the work, then we have no part in this. I do not see this as the case. In all circumstances, we must do it ourselves. We do have assistance, which is this conversation with Krishna.
