Good point. We should just stop worrying about this at all then. Nothing will come of it with an Obama appointee overseeing it.

Rod Rosenstein has been nominated by President Trump, has been approved in committee, and should move on soon to the full Senate for confirmation.

Soon now....hopefully things will begin moving forward without obstruction.

so is that where we are on the obama wiretapping? allegations that she leaked names? you have one source and she denies it, its not gonna hold up in court. if anyone could be found guilty from one news source then everybody would be in jail and it doesnt tie obama to anything. at the end of the day they were probably investigating russians and found trumps people along the way, wich they have obviously.

It was stated during the senate hearing that there are only 20 people who have the authority to unmask names.

Should be fairly easy to narrow that down since they keep logs on who requests unmasking... once you eliminate the people who never asked for it.... the group becomes much much smaller.

Meanwhile...the ship continues to sail on........have patience... it will land in port once the senate begins the full investigation.

Rice's name is at he top of the list because of the logs that were kept, as far as I understand it.

Let's see the president has no war powers, can't pass a bill, and apparently can't ask for the documents that will tell him all he wants to know. I thought he had equal power to congress and they can see classified documents. Playing games and gossip with our kid's future.

They changed the Constitution? They ignore it since Bush. Except when Obama asked them permission to go into Syria.

“The War Powers Resolution of 1973 gives the president the power to commit troops anywhere he likes for 90 days.”

The War Powers Resolution is incoherent. Section 2(c) provides that the president’s power to initiate military action is limited to “(1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.” But at the same time, it authorizes the president to introduce military force for up to 90 days for any reason at all.

Lets suppose that what we are hearing is true. Donna Brazile unmasked Trump et al, and circulated aggregate data of this unmasking to people widely....how do you feel about that if true?

What if Obama ordered it? How about if he didn't order it, but was aware of it?

Im in your boat...until someone is willing to stand and say it publicly im not willing to believe much. "sources say" means "invented words". But lets suppose its accurate....what then?

Donna Brazile didn't have access to anything but debate questions.

"president can declare war himself for 90 days before needing approval. so youre wrong on that part. "

War Powers

"Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution grants Congress the power to declare war. The President, meanwhile, derives the power to direct the military after a Congressional declaration of war from Article II, Section 2, which names the President Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. These provisions require cooperation between the President and Congress regarding military affairs, with Congress funding or declaring the operation and the President directing it. Nevertheless, throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, Presidents have often engaged in military operations without express Congressional consent. These operations include the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, the Afghanistan War of 2001 and the Iraq War of 2002."

Which is why we have not won real wars since WW2. They are funded and fought as skirmishes and enriching private corporations, not to win.

What is Mr. DiGenova's source again?

It must be a psychic because he relays information that could only be known by the person thinking it. The following question arises: "Why?"

Ahh the 73 act changed it from 90 days to 60 BEFORE congress either ends action or grants a extension.

"The War Powers Resolution requires that the President communicate to Congress the committal of troops within 48 hours. Further, the statute requires the President to remove all troops after 60 days if Congress has not granted an extension."

And that means that the president just has to INFORM congress of his decision. SO all i basically had wrong was the amount of time and notification.

Speaking of 'unmasking', I find it ironic, hypocritical, and entirely in keeping with the Trump modus operandi that his DHS requested that Twitter unmask the identity of the @ALT_uscis Twitter user.
More on this story
Twitter is suing.

This link shows language in the original subpoena to Twitter.

The @ALT_uscis account is anti-Trump. He (Trump)cannot handle dissent, poor man.

Now the Trump admin is targeting random individuals utilizing their 1st amendment right to free speech.
These are dangerous times.
