Botswana has been hit by the strongest ever earthquake after South Africa was struck. The quake measured 6.8. It's thought the two might be from the same source (an echo off the Earth's core?)

I was about 2km from my place at friends and didn't feel a thing. Got home just after 8 and my wife going on "everything was shaking!".

2nd one for the day here.

I'm in Johannesburg, 600km+ from the epicenter on the 2nd one, and around 150km from epicenter of the 1st tremor this morning (5.2 in Stilfontein), which I didn't feel either.

At least it wasn't a catastrophic event.
The Okavango Fault Lines are pretty stable so major earthquakes are very rare.
