So sorry to hear about your loss. We will all miss him here that's for sure! Thank you for posting a link to his website...I decided to go there and see his art and an hour later here I am back. Wow! His art was really inspiring to me, as well as his selections of really cool music, and I especially enjoyed his photographs. My personal favorite were the wordless wednesday ones. This is something that I need to try in my life. He really inspired me to not give up! He seemed like such a great guy to know, I'm sad that I really never got to know him better here on ATS. Prayers for you and your family. a reply to: Crakeur

This is an absolute tragedy.

Masqua and I interacted quite a bit over the years, normally as a moderator. I always found their interactions to be useful, concise and born of a distinctive intellect. I will miss that. My condolences, of course, go to his family, friends and associates, not to mention the membership, who will no doubt miss him terribly.

This place will not be the same without him, but I hope that members old and new remember him through his contributions here, so that little pieces of him remain in all of us, even those of us with poor memories.

Godspeed friend.

Here, there and everywhere..His character and integrity defined his posts. The world needs more of his rare spirit, not less and that is what aches me in this news. Bless him and his journey.

I read about this on FB....this is just too sad. I dind't know him well, and we exchanged some art talk very occasionally, but what a great loss. Safe onward journey, Masqua. Much love, everyone.

Besides being the person and friend he was, his great love of family, and his tremendous talent for art.....I'll always remember him for this:
Seven Fires - William Commanda

Safe final journey, dear friend.
See you on the other side.

I think i might had talked a few times to him over the years. Well now he and rob ross can paint happy little trees and clouds for everyone on earth to see when we go outside.
Condolences of course fo rhis family. always a rough time, but try not to be sad too long. remember he is in a better place than we are right now for sure.

I only knew of him through my work some years back on the Space Opera thread(s), but damn.

From what I read today, he seemed like a wholesome, genuine guy.

I hope that his family finds peace in the wake of his passing.

RIP Masqua.

Very sad, his son did an incredible write up of him. 71 is still too young to go...

He touched all of our lives in a positive way, as only masqua could do. His body is gone, but a part of his spirit lives on within us all.

Farewell, my friend.
