Why is the Trump presidency such a rolling disaster?

And here's the thing-- if his intent was something I agreed with-- like a wall or Muslim bans or turning back environment protections-- then I would be hoping he succeeds. But I don't so I can only hope he fails.

I'm with you.

I'm so over Trump.

And I'm with you!

Were either of you two ever for a Trump presidency? We all know the answer.

You're throwing stones on top of a rock pile, what are you doing to promote what's valuable to you?

Man, you would be surprised.... about a year before the election when he was talking about how bad Super PACs were and how it was evidence of a broken system... I thought... if he hammered on that... if he hammered on campaign finance reform.... but nope. He went low. Appealing to racists, xenophobes, calling for torture and murder and mass deportations... basically he went hard toward an audience less intelligent than me. So he lost my vote pretty quick after that.

I've followed Trump for years. Used to be a fan. Listened to him on Howard Stern, way back when Howard was still married to his first wife. Before Trump was married to Melania. I've read his books.

He is not a great business man. When his casinos were failing, the banks got together and came up with a plan to brand the name Trump (the banks, not Trump). It paid off, but Trump was now just a brand name. He became a performer. That's what he is.

I did not support Trump because I did not and do not consider him qualified for the position of president.

His amateurish actions and behaviors have proven me right.

Can his surrounding team get control and make any sense out of this presidency? Time will tell.

During our past correspondence, I've never had to guess nor have you hidden exactly where you stand. Even though I don't agree with it, I respect it as I believe I've told you before.

Never cared for Trump as a person. Not even when he was the richest man within my mind as an elementary student. Just another rich a-hole. When he stood up to all the bashing from the past administration and Hollywood and decided to run, I thought meh, just publicity. When they all saw him as a threat, I started to pay attention to what he had to say.

When I saw the MSM throw anything and everything at him, I knew he was going to be my choice. It was always a slim chance that he would do the things he claimed.

As you said, time will tell.

This right here. His supporters have to be aware of this. They want to support him in spite of his bullsh#tting, and his childish insults, and even his instability? Okay fine... but they should at least recognize all of these terrible off-putting qualities... these intentions like torture, and walls, deportation, reducing/repealing healthcare, attacking women's rights, attacking environmental issues, and generally talking like a narcissistic bratty child--- his supporters should recognize that kind of a guy isn't going to appeal to most normal people. He's niche at best. At worst, he's an authoritarian enemy of the state who should be defeated for the security of the U.S. and the world.

Your posts are complete bigotry. His detractors should recognize that he is now the POTUS and start doing what they can to get behind something that is better for the next go round.

Or do you think that by repeating your perceived "truth" that you are changing minds?

Niche at best.... he's a guy for less educated people who like the idea of torture, walls, deportation, and rolling back environmental protections. He's a guy for people who want to be hostile and hurtful.

Could say the same for voting for Hillary.

Not really very good logic there.

Yes.

I am a Progressive Globalist. IMO it is the only direction we should be going, as it is the logical progression.

Not asking "IF" or "WHEN" - - but, "HOW" and "WHO".

I may be the only person on ATS who declares this. Not sure.

It is no secret the MSM and Hollywood alike were well in the tank for HRC. The logic is fine.

The only time they threw anything negative is when they were fairly certain they could capitalize off the information eventually being in her favor.

Yeah, because the message was goodness vs awfulness. If Hillary had been talking up torture and murder and acting like a little bratty child, she wouldn't have had their support. Hillary talked togetherness and equality... Trump talked rapists, murders, walls, deportation and torture.

Don't be so dumb. Seriously. Put your nose right in that and smell it if you have to. That stuff Trump was peddling smells like absolute vile sh#t to most people.

I live near Hollywood. My kid works in the industry.

Hollywood is a money making business. If you think Hollywood is liberal because of a few vocal celebrities, think again.

President ELECT Trump ......

“I’m not, and I don’t want to be the president of the world. I’m the president of the United States, and from now on it’s going to be America first,” Trump said as the crowd of workers applauded.

“Washington and Wall Street have done very, very well for themselves,” he said. “Now it’s your turn and you’re going to be also sharing the wealth.”

“Standing before me today, in this very hall, are the men and women who if given the chance can transform these communities,” he said. “You are the citizens who can rebuild our cities, revive our industries, and renew our beloved country and I know you will stop at nothing to get the job done.”

That to me sounds like a Man of Action Ready to take on the " Sleeping Giant " America has become since the Bill Clinton Era . Why is the Left Fighting so Hard Against him ? In Reality , the Left is Fighting Against the Majority of the American People who they Despise for their Desire to be Free in their Pursuit of Happiness which entails Hard Work , Self- Sufficiency , and Upward Mobility . A Minority of Opinion from a Political Party who has Now shown their True Colors in Thought and Action , and has Nothing but Utter Contempt for the True Ideals America has Always Stood for . America Will be Great Again regardless of their Hard Fought Efforts Against it because we Finally have a Leader in the Oval Office that Will Make it So…..

The lady who had the MSM sending her debate questions before the debate and who told everyone to not listen to anything negative about Hillary?
