not sure how u took that for support of trump or what i thought his plan is since i said thats what "I" would personally like. i used that as an example for increasing the military budget to point out that its not always a bad idea it just depends on how its implemented. dont take this the wrong way but maybe take a deep breath and go back and read what i originally wrote cause it actually criticizes the president.

It is really simple, no one will give him a break.

Your friends either don't live here, period (i.e you made them up) or have never heard of the the juicy MEGA (acronym) tax breaks that have been in play since 2009, and will run through 2030. Deals & plans for expansions have also been in the works and well-known since BEFORE he announced running. That's what's keeping the industry afloat here, not Trump. Or does Trump get credit retroactively here?

You can also argue this with JinMi (guess where HE lives?) We've both already poked holes all over the "Trumps keeping MI afloat" claim before. Nice try, but get your s# straight first. This is widely known to not be Trump's doing here in MI.

Yeah, the end goal of funneling tax savings into upgrading & expanding automation is also quite well known up here. No one expects anything but. Sure, the plants may still be here and may be even bigger, but there's also more robots slated for the human work, thus negating needing to hire more humans to do the work, so...Kinda ends up a stalemate.

What they're really pushing up here is trades such as in the electric & gas sectors that machines cannot do. Last I read, Consumers is expecting a quarter of their workforce to retire in the next decade, and is falling WAY short on new hire goals. How much you wanna bet the new cushy go-to job for high school grads is going to be folks like linemen, and not on the production lines?
