Never really thought much about pole dancing except to think it was just a silly erotic dancer's excuse for wearing next to nothing...until my friend's daughter started doing it and I went to see her. Holy Cow! Athleticism Art Dance and Erotica all in one...these women could crack your head with one squeeze of those thighs and the upper body control is stunning. They make it look so effortless. Yes..I'm sooooo jealous!
See the end where she suspends with just her feet whilst spinning? amazing

As a pretty physically fit guy, I can say that pole dancing is not easy at all and takes great strength and athleticism.

I think people hear pole dancing and think stripper pole, but pole dancing is quite an elegant and skilled art form.

That it is!

I just snagged the album off my Amazon prime for free.
It's going to be awesomely inspiring in the shop when I go into invention mode.
Thanks again.

That is a scary video. I always had the rule that I should never date a woman who could beat me up. I think she could have even when I was in pretty good shape. Yoga scares me too. People who bend that way are not Human.

Pole dancing as an art form and display of superior fitness is quite something to watch. There was a woman who competed years and years ago (on a world stage, I believe) who had won the contest over everyone else and was later disqualified due to having changed outfits mid routine which in essence was seen as a nod toward 'stripping' and any reference or likeness to that was not permitted.
Hmmm, just an interesting aside for me.
I was very close to some dancers, a hundred years ago in my youth, and they were quite talented and very skilled and dexterous with the pole. They were not all crack head whores (as some folks may think) and the money to be made was unbelievable.
I realize the video you've shown is from the 'performance art'/physical fitness aspect but, some young women out there that pole dance for a living are quite talented as well.
The woman in your video is exceptional and breathtaking.

Apparently they call it pole sport now and I've just found videos of men doing it too which I didn't know

From what I've been reading yup it seems they are desperate to get away from the sleazy lap dancing stripper image hence all the international competitions etc.

With the sheer athleticism and strength features, I wouldn't be surprised if this sport made it to the Olympics in the future...its not disimilar to the feats of upper body strength in male gymnastics such as the rings and asymetrical bars etc

Interesting. I think men, initially, began it.
In China perhaps?
Off to google that!

It's becoming rather popular round there...

I'm rather curious about it, I'd do try it, indeed.
