I-85 is a stupid place for a terrorist attack. There's nothing special about it. It;s not a landmark or otherwise famous. I'm not thinking anyone with
actual knowledge of the situation is calling it that. All it;s doing is screwing up the commute. Traffic through that area is bad under normal
To those who don't know ATL - it's fricking I-85!! That's like saying you have to cut off your main artery. The only saving grace is that it's inside
the perimeter so at least, once it's cleared of travelers who were on at the time, there is a bi-pass via 285. Plus the Buford Highway Connector.
But make no mistake- it's THE main access to Midtown and Downtown Atlanta.
Closed for months....85 north and south in the heart of ATL.
