That was when flying was somehow comfortable and a journey for itself. Now it´s shut the # up and get in line.


Yep. I remember coming from Miami and watching the stewardess give it to the Captain who unlocked a wall safe and place it in there, gave me a receipt. In Detroit, I was last with 4-5 others to depart the plane once given mine back.

Shortly afterwards...71-72-73 and on...that procedure changed when tons of airplanes were being hijacked....
