You are the man I'm criticizing here.

When a man criticize a man, any man who you may see as a role model, do you bash them for being hypocritical, for being a man criticizing a man? Because that seems to be your only argument for my criticism against Ivanka being a good role model, that I'm a hypocritical feminist turning against a woman who I find to be a poor role model.

Hate. Jealousy. That is all you are man. Everything you wrote is hate. A good father will do anything for his daughter. There are also many things about her and his family you choose to not look at past your hate.

For one, she graduated from college and then worked for a year in a firm to learn how it is to work in a business environment outside of her dad. To give her that experience. He does not just set his kids up he makes them earn it.

Now Chelsea, she got a nice gig with no experience right out of school but that is ok because she is not a Trump,right?

How is this even an issue? It is unpaid. Unlike Hillary and Bill's many, many shady business (and political) deals.

This country is filled with passionate, brilliant patriots who could advise this President judiciously in any number of ways.

Does he want to find them? No. He chose his cabinet from a collection of wealthy mostly wallstreet executives.
Why? Because money is everything. To make money, you MUST be the smartest. (Apparently it doesn't matter how you made it.) It's as far as he can see. His values are among the lowest.

Why? It's a part of his pathology. He is HE, and nobody is better suited to do anything, and I mean nobody, better than HIS own family. It's an insult to all the brilliant people in our country, for him to select his own daughter, rather than choosing someone more competent and studied to advise him.

Exactly! Experience isn't a dirty word, and Ivanka is not remotely equipped to process government classified information and take on the Chinese, the Russians, the EU with her real estate and handbag empire background. As it is, the Trump's legacy relies on lawyers to see them through and get them out of trouble.

We are not talking about the First Lady, however, I see nothing wrong with a woman if she wants to pose nude. It is as much as a free choice as having an abortion. One is ok and one is not? You do not know me so please do not tell me how to raise or how I would raise my daughter. What I can tell you is that no matter what she wanted to do I would support it. You should not hold your children back. However, I am pretty sure that my child will not be twerking at 18 and getting high because she does not see that and he parents to not condone that. Could it happen outside of parenting, from friends, yes, but the comparison to the Obama children is that they see one thing. Their father was a member of the Choom gang in high school getting high. Therefore, those kids think it is ok.

Because she owns businesses.
Because she and her brothers (supposedly) are the managers for the Trump family business.
Because there's every evidence that she's not a very honest or ethical person.
Because she and her brothers have sold access to the family ("have dinner with us") as the price of a campaign donation.

And because if it was Obama who'd set up his brother as unpaid White House liason who was getting campaign contributions together for his next run as President, you'd be out there wanting to lynch him.

And if it would be unethical if Obama did it, it's sure as heck unethical for Trump.

So she is unqualified because she runs a business, ran a business with her brothers, helped campaign with her father and hearsay about unethical business practices? Nonsense. There is not one thing there which would keep her from that position.

As far as paid dinners, ALL POTUS and those running have done this so how are the Trumps any different? I remember some Obama dinners costing over 30k to sit down and eat to try to get his ear. He was president at the time.

China doesn't pretend to be the moral authority of the world, and besides, China employed forced abortions, so no, I wouldn't be looking at China nor its First Lady as a role model and moral compass for my daughter.

Obama was a civil rights attorney and teacher, teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for 2 years, he served in the Illinois State Senate for 7 years and in the US Senate for 3 years before becoming the first African American President of The United States of America.

You might want to doublecheck those statements. en.wikipedia.org...

He was a lawyer and a professor and yes, that's leadership experience. It's true that he didn't get to be an important person in a firm owned by a friend of his father, and he wasn't given millions of dollars to form his own company. He worked for several firms, though and he helped set up job training programs. And he's been poor, like a lot of us.

So I don't think a position as owner of a "couldn't possibly fail" company financed by a billionaire compares to making it through school and law school and working as a community organizer and working for businesses as well as arguing trial cases as a lawyer.
