1991 - Los Angeles, California. This photograph was taken by one Dorothy Drudge, near the Los Angeles International Airport. She stated that it was so foggy you could hardly see. The object never made a sound, and was gone in a heartbeat.
Given that it resembles the Adamski object note that is believed to consist of some disparate parts glued or attached together to make it less easily recognizable, but the top part is thought to be part of a gasoline lantern since the ventilation holes and other features match match pretty closely given there were small variations in those over the years. Adamski object on the left, gasoline lantern component on the right. Just glue some extra stuff on the bottom of the one on the right and you get a pretty close match.
