Who knows what this is about.

The situation is still in its infancy and not a lot of information is available.

No ID on suspect, no speculation on motive, no real updates from Metro yet.

The Bellagio was robbed today as well or at least the Rolex store was with shots fired. No one was injured and one Pig masked robber was apprehended but others on the loose. Wonder if it could be related, doubt it but never know.

Hopefully everything will be resolved with no one hurt in the crisis whether its related or not.

I read about that just now actually. It could be related.

My company has armed officers on Las Vegas Blvd buses.

Some folks in the area are saying a bus driver was injured and another person was killed. Hopefully we didn't lose an officer today.

Just saw on the RJ site.

They (police) blew the side of the bus for some reason.

I didn't know they had armed bus escorts. Kinda like Air Marshall's or are they in uniform ? Stay safe and hope everyone else is as well...sounds tense as far as the standoff.

Reports now he has surrendered peacefully...hopefully its the end of it.

It seems like this sort of thing would be really common in Las Vegas.

1. Person who shouldn't be gambling goes to Vegas.
2. That person loses everything, including their life savings, in a series of bets.
3. Person realizes their wife will kill them if they return empty handed.
4. Person decides to attempt a crime that will recoup their losses. They feel justified because Vegas "took" the money from them anyway.
5. Something like this happens...
