Thanks for making this post...

While the original is a classic when it comes to dialogue, atmosphere, soundtrack the next 3 films and the short lived TV series never lived up to original.

I hope that they dont push forward with the reboot of it..Everyone from Mark Wahlberg to the latest of Jason Momoa from GOT has been rumored for the main role.

I didn't even know a reboot was being considered.. bad idea!
Why can't anyone come up with an original idea anymore? Everything is a remake..

I agree that this version, and this one only, had the perfect combination of acting, screenplay, atmosphere, and soundtrack.

Thanks for commenting!

Love this movie. In fact. One of my favorite quotes comes from it. "It can't rain all the time."

Great thread, thanks. I paid my respects to him and his dad around 2011 or so. The plots serve as a very peaceful memorial- Source. May have to stop by again soon.

Look. Mother is the name for God on the lips and hearts of all children. Do you understand?

Morphine is bad for you.

Your daughter is out there on the streets waiting for you.

Eric Draven to Darla

One of my favorites that is both in the graphic novel and movie.
