This surveillance isn't connected to Russia. That was just told to us in plain English.

By whom? Not Nunes.

Nunes said that none of the reports he was given mentioned Russia. He made no statements about the reasons for the surveillance. He did say that it appeared to be legal and incidental. He did not say that Trump's phones were tapped. He did not say that any of this occurred during the election.

And Obama just happened to sign that order allowing the sharing of intelligence between oh so many government agencies right before he left office..... then leaks abound.

And?

If you are working for a pizza service and someone making a bomb calls to order a pizza from you, you can "get caught communicating with someone under investigation for terrorism or espionage" too.

Guess that would make you an enemy of the state.

Good news: it was just "incidental"

Bad news: we are all "incidental" all the time.

Good news they got caught red handed spying on the winner of the Presidential Race and Obama can add Watergate 2.0 to his list of a Scandal Free Presidency lmao.

OK, now we know that Trump's team was, in fact, being monitored. Is the anti-Trump crowd going to cling to the technicality that it wasn't "wiretapping" because nobody snuck into Trump's office and physically placed a bug in his land-line phone? Bill Clinton already tried that sort of language-pedant defense. He still got impeached.

It doesn't really matter.

The fact is that measures supposedly put in place to protect this kind of thing from happening failed.

If people are under legitimate surveillance and others who are not under surveillance get caught up by accident, their names are supposed to be more or less redacted and kept from what's called "accidental discovery." In this case, a bunch of people were accidentally discovered and their names were leaked all over, likely in conjunction with the names of those they were watching in order to create a political effect.

This is pretty much illegal.

No, it's the truth.

This could be used against any of us. Sure, they're using it against someone you hate now ... but if they're stooping to use this to destroy one person or person, who won't they use this tactic against should you become politically inconvenient for any reason?

Think good and long about it before you cheer it on. Remember, for all so many hate, Trump is a politically powerful person. There's no one to stand in your corner if they choose to come after you like this.

Wait, it's now retarded to show a libtard that an innocent person can be 'incidentally monitored'? Ok.... This is taking McCarthyism to a level we've never seen before.

Obama communicated with a terrorist (ayers) often. In your world, Obama would be a terrorist. I'll let you in on a secret, he wasn't.

They already are. I just finished watching the Press Conference and the reporter asked the Republican did Trump use the term correctly? lmao.

But we already knew the leaks were illegal. What this shows that though is that the surveillance that led to the leaks was not illegal. Of course that won't change the fact that the Trump administration will use this whole thing as a distraction from the fact that his people were talking to people they probably shouldn't be talking to.

This is hilarious. People are twisting backwards to try to redefine what Trump said so it's not a lie.

The reality is that the President saw a story on the news, tweeted angrily about it without thinking of the consequences, then his team had to play damage control and try to rationalize his actions.

That's it. You're no better than the brainwashed liberals you claim to hate if you accept this BS narrative.

Trump lucked out, his information was correct. But Obama did not order the investigation, that would have been very illegal and Obama is a lawyer, he knows the laws and how to get around them.

If there was a wiretap of Trump. It seems everyone here is taking the possibility of it happening as evidence it happened.

Nunes did not know whether the "incidental collection" happened at Trump Tower, and could not say for certain whether Trump's communications were directly collected.
Nunes said the collection included Trump transition officials and that it happened after the election. He said he could not say whether it meant that Trump was "spied on"

www.cnn.com...

How is this not team Trump scrambling looking for answers and twisting everything they can to come up with them?

How is this not nixon type behavior by the obama administration? Obviously they spied on trumps cabinet picks and amazingly a communication at trump tower was "collateral" intercepted and used agaisnt flynn! But we dont know if it was at rrump tower!lol really? Also that the information was leaked to the press and also they unmasked names! Face it we have smoke and fire and motive for dems! Its done and over while the dems have nothing on russian collusion.

Until there is evidence, there isn't evidence. You can base what you think on what Donald Trump tells you, but that hasn't worked out too well in the past for anyone who does it.

Using the logic of people in this thread, I'd be completely right saying Obama had me wiretapped, because the NSA is known to record everyone's conversations.

You can twist it any way you want to suit your desired narrative, but no real information has come out about it yet because there is still an active investigation going on and anyone who thinks they have seen any real information is imagining things.

Has a lot to do with comprehension.
