They are currently too busy repositioning the goal posts so they don't have to admit to having been wrong right now.

You don't think it is a big deal for the President to lie about a previous President's actions and force Congress to open up an investigation to investigate those claims thereby wasting tons of tax money and time that could be better utilized elsewhere?

Way to go with the "What about Hillary?" deflection. Gotta hit the standard deflection points when you don't have a real argument right?

Lying to protect or enhance yourself is normal. Lying to cause irreparable damage to another, i.e. trying send to prison on false charges, is psychotic.

Of course Comey says they have no knowledge because the FBI wasn't doing the deep cover surveillance.

Most if not all "evidence" is long covered up and gone.

The Committee is asking the wrong questions to the wrong people.

The committee needs to summon Obama's top people and also the Russians!

They're asking the Walmart Pharmaceutical Manager why Prescriptions cost so much. The USA is an even bigger laughing stock after today.

Let the circus continue, to keep the haters distracted. President Trump will focus on continuing to fulfill his campaign promises.

Trump supporters, trying to explain why Trump isn't lying about the wiretapping, which he first heard about on Fox News..

Trump lies all the time! His latest, to my knowledge, is the one about Germany owing vast amounts of money to NATO. An absolute falsehood!

But the big question is:

No star no flag.

This rehash as trying to attain former glory is pretty dead.

And no, it isn't up to us "trumpkins", Mr. Libby, rather THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

You're ridiculous.

It's "THE AMERICAN PEOPLE" what? It's not the American people who are choosing to ignore the unheard-of volume of not just lies, but serious, extraordinary lies. It's people who support/supported Trump and who don't want his obvious lack of credibility to somehow reflect badly on them for their decision to do so.

But hell, if you're going to do it, own it.

Don't try to hide among the herd as part of the imagined consensus of some vague group of people you decide constitute "*the* American People" — just admit that you have supported and continue to support a man who has already told more lies — YUGE lies — as President than the last what? 10 Presidents have? That no amount of lying will cause your support to waiver.

We should never elect anyone who has ever lied ever and we must punish anyone who lies with death and dismemberment.

Always.

Splitting hairs... yes they do not owe back pay or anything like that, but they also have not been meeting their requirement as a member of NATO, in fact the UK and the US are the only ones meeting the requirements out of the big countries, though several smaller nations have met the requirements.

They among others need to start ponying up the dough they are required to, for being a member of Nato.

Honest question no gotcha or anything...

were you this irate when Obama lied..

Or Clinton..

Or Bush...

I only got here for the tail end of the last 8 years, and I dont remember (could be wrong) seeing a slew of Obama lied from those claiming middle of the road or left leaning status... just those darn republicans ruined utopia.

"With respect to the president's tweets about alleged wiretapping directed at him by the prior administration, I have no information that supports those tweets. And we have looked carefully inside the FBI. The Department of Justice has asked me to assure you that the answer is the same for the Department of Justice and all its components," Comey testified before the House Intelligence Committee.

This is not "unequivocal proof". At best it's proof that the FBI was not involved in any wiretapping.

But then again, your OP is about the dishonesty in the government, yet you have full faith in the moral obligations of the FBI to tell the truth?

BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Good joke.

All absurd hyperbole aside, I'd settle for holding the current President to the same standards as those in the past. Is that too much to ask for?

And lies are alright if you are a leftist or a socialist (sorry, redundant).

But everyone else who lies?

Gets the Chair!

I am holding the current president to the same standard as you held the last president.
