Stay in dark and keep eating sh1t . like the mushrooms .

You'll never see it coming.

I am not sure of the point that you are trying to make. Are you saying that Turkey is safe and free while France is so jacked up that they have to have guards with guns at public places because of Islamic Terrorism?

For ignorance , watch it when heartburn occurs :

Christianity is on the UP in Turk's lands too .

Take that to the bank as well and while there, deposit all that pre-conceived sh1tty notions about Turks that you evidently carry on with you at all times .

On Turkey...

Elected to office for a fourth term in 2015, and enjoying a strong parliamentary majority, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has demonstrated a growing intolerance of political opposition, public protest, and critical media. Government interference with the courts and prosecutors has undermined judicial independence and the rule of law.

HRW

Turkey's pressure on press freedoms has resulted in global rankings dropping Press Freedom ranking

Lest we forget as Erdogan lectures Europe

Also, it is very easy to take a picture of police on the beach if there was an incident and to take a picture of no police if there is no incident. The pictures prove nothing.

Freedom is the name of Erdogan's game . I understand that his game is not easy to understand ; the World has 53 Countries that will line up behind Erdogan .

Could you elaborate this a little more, please?

Like, how becoming a president-for-lifetime is a step towards freedom?

Or which 53 countries EXACTLY are behind Erdogans plans?

You are focusing on Erdogan too much , he is only a mortal man who probably will not be around in 10 years.

president-for-life is bull manure ; you are misinformed.

Look at all the Western Countries Oil Companies in muslim world , there you will find your 53 nations.

Stealing the oil from defenceless nations is easy which is not going to be allowed anymore.

Freedom from Usury is what Erdogan is going to bring in to 1.7 billion muslims .

Whether the 1.6 billion Muslims actually want to be Muslims is a moot point, but apostasy keeps people compliant.

However, if Turkey is on a mission to lead the Muslim world then they will be up against a range of difficulties, not least the fact that Turkey is a secular nation (at the moment at least) and removing that societal benefit will not help Turkey develop. Oh, and there's also the old chestnut that there are several other Muslim countries who think that Turkey should keep out. Now, where's that list. Ah yes, here we are - it seems that the rest of the Muslim world don't want Turkey muscling in on their little squalled party starting with Iran, Saudi, Iraq, Egypt, Syria (what' left of the crap hole), Indonesia, Bradford (UK), Pakistan, Whatsitcalledistan and so on.

I love Turkey, don't get me wrong. I have holidayed there and enjoyed the calm culture, history and friendly Turks. However, Turkey needs to make sure authoritarianism is kept out, else the societal benefits collected over the last few decades will be put in the bin.

Oh, I see what is coming. The revival of the Ottoman Empire. That my friend is inevitable. It will happen of that I have no doubt as it is written in Daniel.

Now the question is if this New Ottoman Empire will be the launching pad of the "man of sin" or more commonly called "anti-christ" or if the new empire is the "King of the North".

I personally believe the Pope of Rome will be either the false prophet supporting the man of sin or the man of sin himself.

In that Scenario:

When the anti-Christ first comes on the scene, he’ll look to the world like a great peacemaker. Daniel 8:25 says He’ll use the promise of peace to deceive people into feeling secure. He will distribute gifts of power and influence and will even confirm a treaty allowing Israel to build the third Temple and reinstate their worship of God there (Daniel 9:27). As he gains public support he’ll use force to subdue countries who don’t fall into line. He’ll make his close followers into rulers, giving them conquered lands as a reward for their faithfulness (Daniel 11:39).

But when he moves to consolidate his control of Planet Earth by going to Jerusalem to assert his divinity, the king of the north and the king of the south will both try to stop him (Daniel 11:40).

He will arrive in Jerusalem and set up his headquarters there (Daniel 11:42-45), where he’ll walk into the New Temple and claim to be God (have mortal world authority as the replacement of Elohim or in the Name of Elohim) ( 2 Thes. 2:4).

In Matt. 24:15 Yeshua Hamashiach said this declaration will be the primary cause of the Great Tribulation and will trigger its beginning.

This is because it will be the event that pits Satan and his man directly against God and His Anointed, as King David prophesied so long ago (Psalm 2:2-3). The anti-Christ’s defeat of the kings of the north and the south could be the reason for all the world to unite behind him and declare, “Who is like the Beast? Who can make war against him?” (Rev. 13:4) And as Daniel was told, the anti-Christ will be successful until the time of wrath is completed because this is the way God has determined it will happen (Daniel 11:36). No one on Earth will be able to stand against him.

But when his time has come to an end, he’ll be defeated. Where the kings of the north and south will have failed, the King of Kings will be successful and at the end there will be no one to help this self exalted king (Daniel 11:45).

If, as I believe, the current unrest in the Islamic Middle East is leading to the re-appearance of the ancient kings of the north and south, then the appearance of the anti-Christ cannot be far behind. And that’s another reason for us to believe that the days of the Church on Earth are truly numbered. You can almost hear the Footsteps of the Messiah.

The issue at hand is primarly justice & development neither of which can be accomplished via Capitalist Economy , evidently.
Whether 1.7 billion people want to believe or not is a moot point ; they get attacked by non muslims no matter what . Point in case is Bosnia which is fresh in the memory .
Compliance with Islam is what muslims will do , obviously .

However, if Turkey is on a mission to lead the Muslim world then they will be up against a range of difficulties, not least the fact that Turkey is a secular nation (at the moment at least) and removing that societal benefit will not help Turkey develop. Remember , most of those countries have been ruled by Turks one time or the other and when Turks ruled those lands , less people died , which is why the call of neo Ottomanism is on the rise , even from Israel.

Everyone is armed around here and everyone has a member of family who died while fighting a war or two .

Even at the height of it's power , The Sultan is beneath the Law .

Today in Istanbul you can walk into any book store and can buy a book which is banned in EU or you can nrowse the newspapers & magazines which actively opposes Erdogan's AKP party .
People often forget that there are political parties in Turkey ; it's not just Erdogan's play ground .

Turk's live in Anatolia to Asia to Europe to America to Africa ; authoritarianism will never take root here ; people of Antolia have always strived for Justice & Peace ; nothing has changed under Erdogan either .

Um, yet Turkey is a country that is becoming increasingly intolerant of political opposition. You may think that newspapers are free to report, but you would be mistaken.

Media freedom in Turkey deteriorated at an alarming rate in 2015. The government, controlled by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP), aggressively used the penal code, criminal defamation legislation, and the country’s antiterrorism law to punish critical reporting, and journalists faced growing violence, harassment, and intimidation from both state and nonstate actors during the year.

2 observations ;

First , Ottomans ruled for 620 years over 3 continents . Evidently , the ex-Ottomans from all 3 religious groups are also calling for the revival of Ottomans or at least something similar.

Second , there is no Free Press anywhere in the World but you act as if you haven't learnt this fact while using ATS .

I think you need that luck more than Turks do.

There are levels of press freedom. Turkey has very little freedom, with growing persecution and abuse of those who dare to report anything other than the government message. Big steps towards worrying authoritarianism.

We got a native bird around here ; it's name is Phoneix who chirps the story of Humanity to all those who pays attention to birds.
Is there any empire in the history of the World where upon the ending cometh , no one dieth ?
Answer is a resounding No .
Besides Ottomans , there were the Selcuklu's , Khazars , Mamluks in the area who also ruled.
What you do not seem to take into account that the " Nationalism " is a Western invention and it's not native to muslims.

You are really misinformed I am afraid .

There are various opposing parties in Turkey and they do actively and currently oppose Erdogan .

Everyone in Turkey knows this to be fact but judging by the links you put up ; you are also unaware .

People in Turkey by and large don't worry about authoritarianism ; even the most die hard Erdogan opponent will tell you that Erdogan is the guy who kicked soldiers out of politics.

What is happening here is simple truth ; artificial borders of Middle East & Europe are coming down because they were drawn without asking locals what they wanted .
It was undemocratic action of nation creation for the benefit of emperialists and naturally it didn't last because bullies never win at the end and oppression is not sustainable either .

Dude , no one except Allah/God/Nature knows what tomorrow shall bring , including Jesus himself.

Furthermore , you don't even know when you shall take your last breath yet predict what Allah/God/Nature decrees ?

Humble thyself , there is always redemption .

The EU is looking at this precise moment to provoke a new wave of migrants towards Europe. The left-liberals want more illegal migrants. To do that, the EU hopes that Turkey makes a mistake, and breaks the migrant deal first.
In fact, Frontex claims that Turkey will break the migrant deal due to the internal democratic discouse.

www.rt.com...

This should not happen, as there's plenty of ways to make sure the EU breaks the deal first!
