A good interview. I am sure he has one hell of a time being in Hollywood and navigating all the crazy screaming leftest who want to shut down anyone's opinion other than their "group think" of insanity by pretty much any means necessary.

Tim Allen says he’s ‘real careful’ talking about Trump in Hollywood: ‘This is like ‘30s Germany’

www.washingtontimes.com...

“I’m not kidding. You gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes.

“This is like ‘30s Germany,” he said. “I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.’

“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” the “Last Man Standing” told Fox News host Megyn Kelly at the time. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And that’s where this — it gets a little hypocritical to me, is that you can now bully people.”

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, as they often do, nailed it in their movie Team America: World Police:

This was/is pure genius

The issue with Hypocrisy is when that behavior is addressed it's justified rather than amended.

If the Right stopped and solved it's Hypocrisy at every moment, the first 100 days would be nothing but solving Hypocrisies.

The real issue is reverse-hypocrisy, where the Right thinks being hypocritical is acceptable because "the left is". That's #ing bull# and is ruining the framework of what it means to be an honorable person. You're now the bigger man in the world if you walk around punching the bullies in the face. It's like they took that "Higher Road" phrase of Hillary's and based moral conviction around the opposites of that. Who needs to take the higher road? Republicans for some reason idolize Democrats enough copy them and justify everyone of their own dirty actions with one of their own. That's why makes me sick. If the DNC is a flaming pile of garbage why the # is the Right so interested in comparing themselves to it, and getting caught in identical scandals? That specific hypocrisy makes me ill to my stomach.

If you want to call the Left a feces equivalent please try to show the smallest bit of effort in not #ing up in the same exact ways, and for the love of God, stop comparing the Left to the Right when 'defending' what the Right does, compare the Right to George Washington, or Lincoln or something worth more value, so that it actually #ing means something to be compared to them.

Everytime I hear "But Hillary also does x too..." I just think "Yeah, so what you're saying is both are #ing trash, I agree with that, go on..."

People are such lazy idiots. We seriously are starting to attribute partisanship to just negative traits of the parties themselves.
False flag? Must be them Republicans again.
Fraudulent election? Fking Democrats.

So simple minded...

Society is walking on very dangerous ground. I can barely voice my opinion in the living-room without feeling like some sort of outcast, I can't imagine what it must be like for Tim Allen in Hollywood. Talk about torture.

What's crazier still is that not ONE liberal in Hollywood has called this insanity out. We would even be hard pressed to see one liberal ATSer admit to the narrative going on.

I guess a massive portion of the population no longer wants different opinions to exist. I can't understand why these people can't see how bad this is getting, not just the U.S., but the whole world.

I don't like when liberals compare republicans to NAZIS, and I don't like it vice versa either. Clearly Hollywood is a liberal propaganda machine, but comparing them to NAZIS is way over the line right now.

I don't even like it when Liberals are compared to Democrats.

The Right is especially lazy in defining people.

Democrat/Leftist/Elitist/Globalist/Liberal is like a synonymous word to most of them.

It's a huge ignorant generalization that's actually really damaging. There are various degrees of evil to each of them, learning the differences would save a lot of trouble that's caused from just considering all the same people.

It's ironic how the Right treats groups of people. The LBGTQABCXYZ for example, the Right, they're the ones that reaffirmed the idea of considering them all one group, and adding more letters etc. It's only through the group discrimination by the Right the group affirmative action by the left is condoned, Bi people don't like being associated with Gay people, some Trans don't like being associated as just all gays, and the amount of homophobia towards men verses females warrants it's own distinction for lesbians. It was never the left that rounded them up, it was the Right who wanted full access to call anyone that didn't dress or act the way they did as part of the 'queers', and quickly made adding to the LBGT acronym a meme game to hurt it's credibility and all of the people in it as a single group they identify against.

My parents are highly educated, kind hearted democrats...

To call them 'progressives' or 'liberals' is an insult.

I would never insult my beloved parents by grouping them with the modern leftist/progressive/liberal movement long since bereft of morality...

Hey, if you know the difference, that's great. I think it's an insult to be called a Democrat, but everyone is Liberal to one degree or another, if they debate that, they just don't know it. Hating Liberals or Conservatives is moronic in general, they're values that can be mutually appreciated while not strictly abided by. Democrats and Republicans is it's own can of worms that take from these values or don't, but somehow manage to draw lines in the sand that separate each other.

There are two types of Progressives. Ones that talk about social issues, and ones that are controlling, and normally Globalists. I'd like to think of them as not actually progressive, and as obstruction.

Being liberal used to mean being for more freedoms, less laws, smaller government.

But now the leftists have taken over the word and it means more government, more laws, more establishment.

Hell, we've had people on ATS thinking that socialism is freedom!

Ever been to the WWII museum in New Orleans?  Amazing place.  What really struck me was how Germany and Japan literally dehumanized anyone not on their side.  They dehumanized people to such an extent the population would go along with treating the enemy as a cancer that had to be eradicated.  America never did that, but we are now with the left literally dehumanizing those with differing political beliefs.  They turn their minions into rent a mobs.

Yeah sure. "Leftists". Not Democrats that wanted to use the word as free pass to call themselves liberal that ruined it.

Btw Cowboy you should know, perpetuating a meme because of absurdity only embraces it later.

People like you are the reason the negative parts of "Liberal" stuck and redefined it. I swear.

GREAT JOB
.

Reality: There were a bunch of non-liberal Democrats that were mocked for not being liberal, so LIBERAL was changed to be a bad word? What obvious arrogance. It means they're not liberal. That's it.

Liberal hollywood, smh. We love movies, but I don't idolize celebrities, something that I think is part of the fault here, these...false kings and queens, think so highly of themselves.

They always viewed themselves above the masses anyways. I applaud Tim Allen for not falling for this demented mentality.

Truth hammer. I've said it along side others: the world of politics amounts to bullying people for their beliefs, and the world of social media amounts to bullying people for their opinions.

If you've ever called someone "stupid" because of their political opinion, you bullied that person.

Tara the Crazed Anti Trump Woman from last year....she bullied that man by pulling up in front of is house to harass him for his political beliefs. Of course, she says she was bullied when he grew sick of it and chased her down....which is the most maddening thing. This "projection" people talk about....this is what they are referring to. How can you bully someone into lashing out at you, then play the victim? Is it because on the face it seems ludicrous that a 100lb woman would "bully" a 225lb man? Which is a hidden bigotry you see, as now you can add misandry to the list, as apparently men cannot be victims without losing their man card.

I have quite a bit of frustration of this topic.

If we're talking Thomas Jefferson Liberal, I too consider myself a liberal. If we're talking modern liberal, I couldn't distance myself any further from them. Interesting how the meaning of words change through the years.

The reality is people just refuse to accept what Liberal/Conservative means to continue imaginary division.

It's kind of sick how anti-liberal some of you are. Meanwhile the political establishment smashes you in the face with the equivalency formula: Democrat=Liberal Republican=Conservative. And you still mindlessly eat it up and bash liberalism when your opponent is Democrats, who get to conveniently call them self liberal at no cost other than being Democrat, while that 'means something' if a Republican says it.

It's right infront of your face, you have successfully been psy-op'd into hating Liberalism, and it's ripping true Progressives apart. Such oblivious destruction is surely good for everything.

Let's just talk about Hitler real quick, because he's often painted as Right Wing, and he was. Ok, so back to our Bingo sheet, Right wing=Conservative, but nope, Hitler was one of the most Liberal leaders of all time. You need to separate ideology from political party before you attack ideologies affiliated with political parties, otherwise you're just basely bashing one person for the faults of another.
