Apparently they voted for him because he talks like they do.
There is nothing else to bond them. He doesn't care about the little people. He screws them. He did it before with workers on his projects and now he's doing it on a grand scale to the very people who voted for him.

The costs are estimates by news organizations. They are assumptions. Until you have the numbers, you have nothing but tribal speculation, since criticizing travel expenses is a partisan tradition.
