Trump Budget to Cut Job Training for Americans

I'm sure there's more to the story.

Job corps used to be a way for corporations and big businesses to get cheap subsidized labor back when they would otherwise have to pay a living wage to a real employee.

Now, thanks to unchecked illegal immigration, wages are so low it is cheaper just to hire any old loser or illegal than bother with the paperwork and hassle from the government job programs.

So, what about in my state where it has worked for the throw a ways? Ryan, Kelsey, Stephanie, Peeb, Brandon, ...I can't remember them all. They all got their high school diploma and a place to live. They are the early 30's now and good people.

Well, you know - - if it doesn't help 100% of the people 100% of the time.

Job Corps is still important. At the Center I worked at we trained a lot of students to be truck drivers, mechanics, carpenters, etc. There's supposed to be a big shortage of truck drivers and I don't think illegals can get a CDL.
