1,200lbs of Explosives.!!!

The Real IRA has issued a statement saying it was behind an attempted bomb attack in Londonderry at the weekend.
The claim was made by an anonymous caller to a newspaper in the city, using a recognised codeword.

The bomb was found inside an abandoned van in the Waterside area on Sunday.

The device, which contained 1,200lbs of explosives, was primed and ready for detonation.
