Well, I'd probably have to bring a kid.

No problem, I like children. They're remarkably tender.

I'd say mine have just enough of me in them to be tough as shoe leather!

Louise, my adventures aren't as exciting as Augustus but, if ya get bored today...
I'm going 'hangover hiking' (am I in the wrong thread again?) to here.

Just a crappy old water tower BUT it once fed an entire community.
Here is some more history.

I am interested and will check it out later!
Time to get ready for errands around town. Enjoy your hangover hiking, I didn't know that was "a thing".

Thanks guys for showing me there's a world outside of my little one.
I would like to see more of it one day.

Well, PM if you're coming up, I'll make room in my schedule on Monday or Tuesday.

Hangover hiking? I don't get hangovers anymore, but back in the day, the last thing I would be doing is hiking. I'd be in a corner of the woods somewhere taking Tylenols and sleeping or something.

Speaking of cell phones...I still have a flip top phone and wouldn't have it any other way. I just use it to call or make a quick text and I'm good to go. I buy a 20 or 30 dollar card and it last me months.

I'm another one living vicariously through Mason's sky adventures. I get all excited just being able to get out of the house and my own backyard.

I had the flip phone forever and they upgraded and gave me a new one, still a flip top. I don't know the original price of the phone as it was a gift. You just purchase the minutes and it adds airtime. The airtime and minutes are automatically doubled. A 20 dollar card lasts me a long time. You just buy a card when you need it.

You said you paid $20-30 dollars for those cards. I asked how much they ran you.

The answer is $20-30.

But...but, I explained that already so I thought perhaps there was a deeper meaning in there or something. Dumb joke, that's why I didn't get it. Bahaha!

Wonderful compositions, Augie. Flag, star and no clue for
how you can successfully tape a Barlow groovy telephoto
onto your phone -- so you can zoom in on plain bad. Kudos.

The hardest thing I could imagine, although.. would be making
anything photographable in Chicago interesting. Maybe except
climbing back out from Michigan Avenue dropping into a Faustian
fissure of well-deserved smoking damnation.

Ironic that I had returned yesterday afternoon from my first ever
trip from Europe. Sadly, I may not be able to milk any product off
my LG phone without erasing the firmware. Yup, I AM that clumsy.

It took me over ten hours to get to ORD from ... you guessed it,
ROME. Chain smoker.. I'll take 'bronchitis instead' for 200, Alex.

Depending on where you are flying in from, Chicago looks awesome with the Lake Michigan shoreline in view.

Have fun and safe travels

Just got back a little while ago and I have some new ones. I like to call this my Death Series.

This is the Carjack Capital of New Jersey, lovely downtown Newark. If you look closely you might see someone getting shot in the face:

Christ I've been attempting to build a reparte' with CHENEY working a BOT!

[Was on ATS 31 minutes ago]
Essentially Newark has a bad rap for carjacks, but for 'crazy from the heat'
there might be nothing to rival the south side of Chicago in spots.
I've got a couple of Hyde Park stories that self combust on Hanukkah.

Which is entirely well-earned.

If it were an Olympic sport no amount of doped up Russians would ever be able to defeat our boys.

Here's a couple more of Manhattan, Midtown:

And Lower Manhattan with Jersey City in the foreground:

In the very close foreground is the Meadowlands, that's where we take people in Jersey we don't like.
